The amount of business lost taking a weekend off would out weigh it

I have not - nor do I see the cost/value ratio worth it to myself - I kinda look at them the same as the "walking on fire" seminars.

Nope. I like Borino though, he's kinda cool, but my guess is it would feel like an Amway presentation back in the 80's. Get you all pumped up and then deflated in about a day.

Yes I attended one, but I thought the person speaking was condescending AND the "free" coaching session that went with it was useless. Not only because they weren't interested in actually providing any coaching but because the scripts they provided afterwards would have had me calling other agents "rats" or some such nonsense. I skipped day #2 and would not go back.

I haven't done weekend bootcamps. I've attended Brian Buffini workshops, will be going to Tom Ferry's Success program in August. I don't do these very often, but always learn some new aspects to apply to my business and meet great colleagues in the industry to refer business back and forth.

Yes always. at least when it comes to the Ferry's. I don't know who Borino is though.

A million years ago we went to "By Referral Only"...to make those kinds of trainings beneficial you have to be willing to ascribe to their sales philosophies which are a bit over the top for us.
I have not heard the "dead referral base" story Peter Mohylsky that is ridculous ....6 listings this week from people who prefer to refer..it may be dead to people who don't work at it...the rewards are exponential to those who do !

I have attended a Ferry weekend event for sales marketing and found the information useful and networking profitable. Not sure what "merge trainers" means.

I remember early in my career I did Buffini, and enjoyed it. Now I would not.

Good morning Peter. I have not, but used to meet once a year with a number of masters from the business world for a mastermind few days. Everyone would give a presentation. It was priceless!

What you take from anything like that is such a personality thing. There is either a firehose of information that you could never implement, or it is hours of saying the same thing in 100 different ways to pump the crowd. I've been. I wouldn't go back.

At this point in my career I have to admit I agree with Scott Godzyk and Barbara Todaro . When I was a new agent it was a different story!

I haven't, though I know many who have. The problem with most of the attendees is that they go to these to learn the secret of getting success by just paying for it. They come back from these sessions and never work at putting into practice what they've been taught.

My parents used to be big in the Mike Ferry organization. They found it valuable as did I. Like any training, you get out what you put in.

Yes, Way back in my early days of real estate. I want to vomit when I think about it now. The crap they preach makes me ill. Not anything I would do.

Peter,
I attended a couple back in the day.
I found they tended to tout results that happened due to circumstances that couldn’t be easily replicated (if at all) by those who attended. I don’t have 5 family members willing to work cheap while we build a huge volume.

I find it interesting that those that think it is worthless are those that have never attended.
#1 rule is having the right attitude and open mind when you attend any seminar.
I have attended many bootcamps on varying subjects, most unrelated to real estate and find that I always learned something useful...and yes I even "walked on fire", danced on chairs, and spent big bucks to attend.

Peter,
We have attended a half a day meeting with Ferry for our client. Our styles are diametrically opposite of his. I am aware that many have benefited, but it is not for me. Different strokes for different folks. A

We won a free session with one of the "mega's" and didn't sign up. Thought it was too much a scam...

I have attended many.
Most of the content is predictable based on the personality/philosophy of the organization.
My attendance is not necessarily to be persuaded but to mine for the gold truths that sustain the durability of these organizations.
Yes, I do find gold and deem them worthwhile for those who know how to mine. Also they would be worthwhile for any newbie who is searching for a clue and needs to start from somewhere.
