I like my ipad

I don't use Apple products. I do use a desktop, laptop, tablet and my phone depending on what I am doing. I like the convenience of my tablet for internet use but tend to use my desktop during the day and for work items. 

I like using a laptop..... I'll continue to buy them....

I have no desire to own or use an Ipad.

I prefer my laptop. It does all I need it to do.  I have an iPad and do not use it. 

I love my iPad Air and the Logitech keyboard, much better for my typing skills than touch-screen

Like the iPad for ease of portability. It grows on you!

I like my laptop for the larger screen.  I do have a Galaxy tablet, but don't need to be upgrading anytime soon.  I prefer the apples I can eat.

I hardly use a tablet, but mine is an Android Galaxy Samsung. I work mostly off my phone (also Samsung Galaxy Android) and an all-in-one computer on my desk.

I don't own an iPad and I don't find it to be an advancement at all

I use an IPAD for the instant convenience, but it  definnitely does not replace a laptop, or desktop.

iPads have many limitations compared to laptops.

I have both a mac and an iPad.  Love both for different reasons.

I would not agree Sam. I have an IPad and love it. I use my laptop too. I call it a different animal.

I have had an iPad for several years and love it as a tool on the go and to take with me when showing. For serious work and editing I like my laptop.

I disagree Sam.  When an iPad can play detailed games such as World of Warcraft or Star Trek Online, let me install programs from CD or program a radio then I'll consider them as an advancement.

The only thing a tablet is good over a laptop for is reading a book, signing documents or having a recipe displayed while cooking.  For any serious use, give me a full blown computer.

I use a Surface for a good share of my reading and blogging, but the laptop is still nice for bigger jobs.

Sam Shueh I currently have an iPad. I also purchased an external keysboard with it so it is like a laptop. Disadvantage for me is no hard drive, CD drive or external USB ports. I also don't like that I can't print from it directly. I do not have an air printer, but I do have an app that I can print documents through my desktop. Over all I do like it, but it has these limitations at least for me.

Hi Sam - I have had iPads since they came out and currently have the big one. It's not a good substitute for my laptop, which has 16gb of memory, two monitors, a fast processor, a lot of very high-powered programs, and the ability to run a bunch of them at the same time - a capability I need. The iPad is great for recreational computing - browsing the news, watching videos, reading and some games - I use it almost every night.

I use Ipad and Iphone since they were offered, but I would not give up my mac-pro:) 

"Fabulous complement to"? Yes!

"Advancement"? I don't agree. There are still many things where my Surface Pro will out-perform the iPad Pro 12.9" that I will be getting, if for no other reason than the Surface has more RAM. Also, the iPad can't accept a mouse. Touch screens are great when the device is handheld, but not so much when used in a docking station/second monitor set-up on my desk. Call me old fashioned but even with a touchscreen monitor, I'd rather use my mouse. {squeeek}

I do look forward to the day I order my iPad. Much better battery life for being out and about than the Surface, that's for sure, and cellular connectivity built in is a HUGE plus for me. Bring it on! :0)
