I realized that I actually am good at it. I didn't think I would be. It also brought out the ability to write with a sense of humor. 

I do thank those nuns who threatened me with correct sentence structure in the 4th grade. Spelling too.

Absolutely ... mostly that I am okay with exposing who I am and being vulnerable in my writing. 

That's a tough one. I do know that blogging has helped me organize my thoughts. My mind is usually all over the place.

I am a channel for 'something', that's for sure! Haha!

I never even considered becoming a teacher, yet I find that the "education" portion of my writing brings me immense satisfaction.    Nothing better than knowing you served a valuable purpose in that way ...

Since I write to attract business to my real estate brokerages, I try to have a consistant message and not do rants or get too personal that's not appropriate. Just enough so that people get an idea who I am and that I am knowledgeable and approachable and will do a super professional job for them. My innermost thoughts stay right there unless I decide to become and "author" and make my income that way.

I never enjoyed writing when I was in school. I was deathly afraid of it and found it quite a major ordeal. Blogging allowed me to embrace it and find out that I'm not the only one who fears the written word.

That I am a terrible speller and not so good with puntuation but my intentions are good.

I have learned that it's fun to express myself in writing.  Also that my spelling not as bad or as good as it could be.

Yes read it three times before sending and spell check on a phone can be a deteriment.

I've learned more from re-reading what I write. In other words- don't click post until you have read what you just typed. It's amazing how 'what I thought I wrote' isn't always what I actually wrote. I'm pretty sure proof--reading is a forgotten art for many newly minted bloggers.

Yes.  Writing can be cathartic.  

That I am better at real estate than I am at writing, but sort of already knew that! 

I enjoy it, but not sure I needed to learn that; sort of knew.

I love to write so having a vehicle that helps me focus on issues connected to my profession is a great thing. (Thanks, active rain!) And I do find that when I sit down to write, it helps me realize my true thoughts about a topic.

Yes, I've learned that I'm a bad author.

I have a tendency to write from the heart, so hoping readers get the facts behind the emotions. I enjoy writing and have always felt I wrote well. I think AR has helped affirm my opinion. I get writer's block and get discouraged easily.

I'm constantly examining myself and looking for ways to improve where needed.  I've learned the more I write, the better and easier it becomes.
