I'd say around 40-45%. It had to have been higher in the past couple of decades as China and India have really made a dent in the last 20 years.

Less than China.
Yes, and it is a multiple of that 5%.
Good morning Conrad. Would guess around 25%, but it could be higher.
I know that it is the largest consumption of energy and many other resources:((
I want look it up but would say 25%.
Probably MOST of it.
25% sounds right Conrad.
I can't wait to hear the answer! I'm sure it is way to much!
I'm sure we use way more than we should. I can't wait to hear the answer. I know it will shock me.
Conrad Allen It is good to know. Excellent question!
I'm guessing 60%, but I'm probably not giving Japan enough credit.
Conrad Allen I am sure it is at least 5 times more - at 25-30%.
I'm going to guess 30%.
35-40% I think.... Americans are wastful.....
I'd guess 50% or more.
Probably a lot, but not the most.
I know it was a huge #
55%? with China right behind us
A lot but I have to guess, maybe over 33%?
I say 50% The united states likes to use ACs and heaters lol
More than 5%?!
I like my air conditioning.
Would not need so much air conditioning but global warming is jacking up the heat.
So I need to turn down the temperature to live here in Florida. Some say when the 'big one' comes, much of the need for conditioned air in coastal Florida may be eliminated.
More than 5%.
I'm guessing somewhere between 15 and 20%. I would think more densly populated countries use more, but that each Amercian uses between 3 to 4 times more per person than other countries. TVs in kids rooms, everyone charing a cell phone, lights left on in rooms we're not in. We (Americans) waste a lot.
Conrad Allen I'm going to guess 25%.
My guess would be 20%.
I say 25%
I don't know but I'm assuming, it might be more than 5% -- I know you will tell us the correct answer soon enough.
My early guess is 30%
