I cover 4 counties because we go where the buyer client needs to go. I know most of it, because I have put in the time and effort to learn it.
When we moved to central florida, I spent months driving, visiting , and learning communities...without a GPS. Mike says you can't learn the streets if you depend on a GPS...thats true.
To expand your knowledge, you have to get out of your comfort zone.

I definitely have not sold in every area, so I tend to farm in the areas that I know.

David,
If I’m going to be in an area I don’t typically work I may drive through or preview just to broaden my awareness of that part of town.

Yes, I always visit developments that I haven't seen before in my area, so I am familiar with them.

In comparison to your area Erie is small town, but there are still a few areas I have not been too. Like any area there are areas where you DON'T want to list or show for safety reasons. Thanks for the Q David Barr

We've shown or listed at so many, but in our travels if we've missed a few, I will research it and find out why it wasn't on my radar.

I showed yesterday in a neighborhood that I have not been in for years, kinda nice!

I cover such a wide territory in two states and we have so many subdivisions, it's impossible to do this.

I find it interesting to drive through neighborhoods are subdivisions I have not driven through before.

Yes, I think it is good practice to keep learning the neighborhoods in my market.

I try to at least drive through them and take a few photos so I am aware of styles and neighborhood amentities. If I have a buyer for the neighborhood I would visit the homes.

I visit all of the above, to show homes that the buyer wants to see, but have not listed or sold in them all. I probably haven't shown houses in all of them either, but I'm working on it as best I can.

Yes, we do, as there are many neighborhoods that I do not know David Barr! Currently we are just previewing new homes on the market in our niche, though once a week at Weekly Staff Meetings we go on Home Tours and they are in areas that I have never showed, listed, nor know my way around. They are not in the town where we live!

I've been all over Albuquerque and Rio Rancho NM for the past 16+ years and still haven't seen it all.

David,
We would if we would be interested in marketing in that particular locale. A

well I am one of those small town girls and have been doing this for 24 years now, so I'm not sure there is a single neighborhood left where I haven't had a listing or made a sale. Can't think of one. There is a condo building I have not sold a unit in, but I have been there and am familiar with it.
