I do think this is important, whether with time or money or both.  I always remember the saying "There but for the grace of God, go I".

I am a member of our local chapter of 100 Women Who Care.  The power of 100+ Women in 1 hour each quarter is amazing.  Our chapter now raises $22,000+ in one hour which goes to a local charity in one lump sum.

To give back first to the original GIVER of all things is required. Then, to help or give comfort/aide to those around you as presented makes for good sense.

Absolutely Leanne Carpenter!  I've worked as a volunteer in both CA and AZ, and have loved each place that I've worked, as they have all been very different.  In CA, I worked for a Food Bank, and for the Sheriff's Dept. on their Truancy Program, and in AZ, I'm working in OP Surgery at a local hospital here in Oro Valley. 

No doubt you give time to a cause you believe in.

I do think giving back is important. I volunteer for the local animal shelter and I'm on the BOD for our local Habitat for Humanity Chapter. I will also help out in other areas when asked. 

Opportunities always arise through the year through people I know. last night one of our colleagues is hospitalized with a medically induced coma and the brokerage asked us all to help. 

Yes.  I volunteer about 30 hours per month with various groups inside the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Office.

Yes I do, and I spend at least 20 hours per week working with the Catholic church where I am the leader of the Third Order Franciscans.

It is important to give back to our communities.  We can do it by promoting the local businesses.

YES!! Just look around..so many in need of your time and resources!

Absollutely, I do volunteer work through my church.  We are ministering to homeless people this week.

I do think it is important to give back and do it through my church programs, supporting our local University, my Realtor Association and some other groups I support. 

Yes, I do feel it is important to give ... give in a number of ways ...in whatever ways we can. I have several charities I support and donate my time. 

I've served on various non profits over the years.  Various service clubs too.  And I have taught Sunday School for more than 25 years now.

I've been on the board of the local affordable housing authority.... 

Yes. I have a couple 2 mile stretches of roads where I pick up trash 2-4 times per year as part of Adopt A Highway. I participate once per year at KLB ( Keep Loudoun Beautiful) which is picking up trash wherever I'm needed the most. I volunteered 4 years with VADF ( Virginia Defense Force / Black Horse Brigade) http://www.vdf.virginia.gov/ , and a few other misc things.

Yes I do.  Habitat for humanity is one of my favorites.

It is super important in my book. I help with charity events and donate$.

When we were Re/max the Children's Miracle Network, now we give to The Salvation Army. It is all good and worthy . It bonds us to the locale and the people making it special.

Very important.  We distribute blankets and food to the homeless.

As much as possible.... It is important that realtors care...

I am heading off to Second Food Harvest Bank i two weeks.

I volunteer my time on my HOA and donate to charities that mean the most to me.

Yes, I do, and it is important to choose something that makes your heart sing. We chose education and we did a volunteer 3 year stint with a whole school district to raise money and better some of the programs they had by engaging the business community into sharing time with kids as well as funds.   Take time to find what is right for you, and if you don't feel it is important to give back, don't do it.  It becomes hypocritical otherwise.  A

We give back in several different ways. It's the right thing to do.  

Good morning Leanne.  Twice a year we do food drives for two different shelters. It has become a tradition for us.

We also serve meals each Christmas day.

 There's a lot to be said about coming from contribution.

Yes, my local community and our global community too. Volunteering at our elementary school and helping to protect our beaches are two small ways I give back.

Leanne from my perspective it is important to give back for those of us who can afford to do so.... I give from every commission automatically to our Charitable Foundation check out my blog post about it...recently... and I also give from every commission to Animal Rescue organizations for starters... and then what is left I give to other great causes...Endre

My wife and I volunteeer a lot and we also donate a good amount to dserving families

Leanne Carpenter yes, it is. At our market center, we give it through KW Cares.

I give back with both time and money. Recently there have been several fund raisers for local residents in need and I made a cash donation since I could not attend. Business wise, I give back by trying to patronize our local small business owners as much as possible and I write localism posts to help drive traffic to those businesses, both retail and restaurants.

It is important.  I think a good way to give back is to, at a minimum, to be active in the community association where you live.

Give back for sure.  Each person has there on way.

I think it's very important Leanne Carpenter and I give back through many volunteer opportunities including through the church and something a simple as when I go for a walk I bring a typical grocery bag along and pick up liter on my way.

I pick a charity in my City every year to donate to, and have for many years.  Also, we have a Outreach tas force through our Association where we help out somewhere in our community.  

Nothing shows commitment to the Community more than giving back but needs to be genuine and not HALF hearted.  Myself, I serve on a local area Commission. a volunteer elected apolitical organization being a liasion between residents and the City.
