If I were going to do this I would tie it in with today's hottest topic staging.  Can you call your stager and see how much she'd charge you for a free staging consultation?  Staging opens up the doors to a different type of conversation which eventually gets to the question "have you had any thoughts of selling?"

I see too many people at these types of events wasting too much valuable time an resources on "Non Prospects".

Make your graphics geared toward homeowners or people who want to be homeowners.

And your give aways should be geared toward these people as well.  A drawing for a free CMA or appraisal may be a good idea.

Whoa, whoa, whoa !   You've answered your own question Pat Owens .

As I read your question, it's right there.   Stumped ?

"Any ideas to make this a FRUIT . . . .  ful event" ?   You're going to be at a "FESTIVAL"  , right ?   I do a lot of chamber events and especially in the spring and fall, one of the easiest, cost effective and eye catching things to have as a door prize is a big ol' FRUIT basket.

It is very colorful, healthy and can be shared with others by the winner.   And the BIGGER, the BETTER  !   It's very easy to create, use some colored tissue paper to dress it up and put some curly ribbons in it.   All of that in a reuseable pot or basket and it will be the talk of the event.

Let your JUICES flow and Be Creative  at a very reasonable cost !

Good Luck and Happy Festivaling !

When I participate in such events, I offer the audience something of value. One Mayor from Wisconsin recorded my presentation to take back to the occupants of the land of the frozen chosen.

For example, when at the Earth Day festival, my presentation is about the benefits of Walkable Homes. Those benefits include: safety net, paying for college education, supercharging retirement account, ect....and having a resource where they can find where such homes exist in your area. Sign up here.

If allowed to overtly market real estate services, offer empowerment through your products.

This year I will be exploiting Everyone has interest in real estate by allowing access to my book. Who doesn't want to 'BREAK THE FAILURE SYSTEM'?

And when all is lost, go with a bulletin board or chalk board and have folks record their Six Word Story.  This will give you names, numbers and quotes for the remainder of the year.

Of course giving away money is what many choose to do. It is easier.

Just be careful if you having a drawing to keep it within RESPA boundaries.  I think it may be a violation to have a drawing for referrals.

Is there a theme of the festival?  Maybe make the giveawy within the theme?  I like Joy's suggestion.  Maybe give away water wrapped with your information.
