No, but my business would be my least concern if I have a medical situation. My family is always #1 and I hope, I do not have a chance to stress them out.

It would depend on how incapacitated I was, and for how long.  Anything can be accomplished in the short term but for longer, I'm not so confident!  My next question is "Would that be my concern if my health was in jeopardy?"

Paul, I'm thinking not.  In a crunch Liz could get back to being much more active with our business, but a lot of the stuff I do on a daily basis is outside of her expertise (the websites, social media, the patio home niche, etc.). 

Thankfully,  YES !   I have a great support staff and additional Mortgage Loan Originators with the bank that can step in to cover my area if I have a medical absence.

Got my fingers crossed I don't have to test that theory any time soon !

Probably not, if it was something major or long term that would be cause for concern. If it was a fairly minor problem with a reasonably short recovery period, I think it would be okay.

Paul I wish you a full speedy recovery.. And thank you for a great provocative question.   I have  a partner ( my wife)  and a full time assistant and a few agents in my office assist me with my over flow.  I have an excellent manager who still knows the boots on the ground business,,,

For me yes.. But for many folks , this is a solitary profession and I am afraid  they do not. 

Luckily, I too have many REALTOR friends that would help me if needed.  Hope you are quick on the mend!

Henderson, REALTOR®, Broker, Tacoma Washington!!  That would be an interesting situation for us as a "Team".  If I had a medical situation, Roger would be just fine - if he had a medical situation, me, not so much.  There are certain situations that I could handle with no problem (lots of confidence!), certain situations that I could work through (some confidence!), and certain situations that I have not yet been a part of (with help I could work through them).

oh, yes....and if someone in MY office has surgery, I would volunteer to market for them....I did that with one member, and she NOW has a place on the first page for a "Free Market Analysis in Franklin MA"....I laugh everytime I see it.... I should give lessons on how to shoot yourself in the foot....I tell her that all the time!! and I know she was VERY APPRECIATIVE....

Absolutely.  Each time I've had to be away for extended periods (though none of them were personal illness except a week I was out from surgery), but when my grandmother got ill and passed and when my husband and daughter each had major surgeries I was out as long as needed with nothing but cornerned phone calls asking if there was anything I could do.

I have someone (someones) to handle it when I go on vacation and the same persons would keep it going it I had a medical issue.

Oh yes, I can related to this...from when I broke my foot (and couldn't drive).  You'll get through it.  So glad you have things in place.  I had one of my assts drive me places (and my mom helped, too).
