Keep my eyes on my own paper.  Not my job to police stuff like that.  Besides, every neighborhood in my city can use that, we're one of the top 5 safest cities in the nation for the last 20 years.  Usually #1 or #2, so out here it's just a normal marketing thing.

We have a button on all Oklahoma City MLS listings to report violation of Fair Housing, RESPA, etc.

Nothing if my buyer was not interested in the listing.

That's a listing agent sticking their neck WAYYYY out and may be 'steering'.
I would tell the prospect that WE don't determine what is 'safe', but they may speak to the local police about historical data if they have further interest in the property.

Our MLS would catch that and contact this agent to correct it.

I would not do anything, but the listing agent will probably get in trouble with a compliance department.

If I knew them well I might call but 99% of the time my eyes are on my own paper.

I just don't care and I'm not the fair housing police.  I live in a safe neighborhood.  I find it ridiculous that because I'm a broker I can't tell people that.

I would let it go. You could report it, but that's up to you. 

If it is from my own brokerage, I would comment to the agent.  If it is someone from another brokerage, I would just shake my head and move on.

I wouldn't do anything. I would not be making statements like that without hard, hard facts and we all know how facts can be manipulated.

Likely nothing. I just cannot police all the stupid I see in this industry.  If someone says or does something that may cause harm to me or my clients ... that's a battle I will fight.

I might suggest to the broker that they have a talk with the listing agent - that is a loose cannon waiting to self destruct - sometimes new agents just don't know what they don't know and they need help.  We have all been there doing something stupid. Well - at least I have - maybe I have gotten everyone else's share of stupidity on activerain so you guys could just be very smart!

I would have said the same thing as two of my favorite ladies expressed, Barbara Todaro and Susan Emo !  A

I see agents using terms, phrases they shouldn't on mls. If I know them I will text / call only because I don't want them to get in trouble.  Working with buyers, I will tell them to check out the neighborhood, contact local police dept. or google the area.  

File a compliants to MLS for redflag a neighborhood violation equal lending....   I have seen it in Oakland, CA a block or two makes a difference.

Cringe! If i know them tell them what they are doing wrong; otherwise show it to my Broker and let him call.

They should know better than to use terms like that. That's one reason brokers should review what their agents put into the mls. I don't have time to monitor what other agents write.

If the agent or broker is a friend, warn them. 

I wouldn't say anything unless I was on friendly terms with the agent, in which case I may suggest they remove that part of the description. 

I would call the agent if I know them at all otherwise leave it alone. If I hd a buyer ask me abot this I would give them my usually spiel about doing their due diligence about crime in the area

call them and say I think you should remove "in safe neighborhood" before you get into trouble.

Nothing.  If my buyers asked me what I thought I would tell them to contact the local Sheriff department.

If I knew the agent, I'd talk to them about it.  That is a terrible liability for her/him and probably not legal. Otherwise I might report it to the broker.

I would not say or do anything.  I am so glad that our state got rid of the stupid snitch law. It is not my business. Besides that, I am so over the PC and word police. Katerina
