Peter - You did a very good thing, and certainly should be happy that you were able to help them out.

from the listing end of the transaction, there have been many over a 38 year period.... mostly with helping folks buy a new home when the were borderline with equity in their homes .... no one else would "bend".... I've always been flexible, especially if a new home sale was on the other end....my builders appreciated that...and the new home gave me a full pop....

Yes, I just helped an older couple find a home. It was difficult finding a nice home in their price range. I got hugs and happy faces.

That's awesome! I've had two great buyers lately who thanked me for getting them their home. One had a severely handicapped daughter and the house I found her improved not only her but her daughter's quality of life considerably. There were many hugs there.
My first rental, the soon to be tenants were down on their luck and had been screwed over hard by their brother and it cost them their house. They had a difficult time finding anyone who'd rent to them and I saw them for who they were, not the foreclosure. They have been some of my best tenants and still there four years later! They send me and my family holiday cards and texts every year. Truly happy to be there and happy to have met me.

My area is not holly wood so my lowest on a home is $15,000 and land was $2550. I have many stories of people who have been elated with my service

I hope the offer was accepted. I like happy endings and they come often in our business.

I love it when the buyer or seller is super appreciative. That doesn't happen as often as I would like though.

My question is did you get them the house?
When I started in this business, my phone did not ring for 3 months. I was so desperate that my first deal was an REO condo for $10,000 in a sleezy neighborhood. There was mold and maggots growing on the walls... the buyer and I held our noses and ran outside for fresh air gagging. I made a $500 commission. Since then I have sold her about 30 more properties...much higher price.

Peter, stories like yours....peers like you.....those of a higher purpose as you exhibit.... confirms for me, this is the place to indelibly touch lives, to revive hope when the ember is about to be extinguished.
This is YOUR day. The birds are singing because you have made the sun a little brighter, the air crisper, the water sweeter.
There is the another side of the story, but now is not the time.

Congratulations. They are the type of people who will likely tell all of their friends and family. You may get some great referrals.

Peter, hopefully you are talking about the PP not offer to list price ratio! They will be so grateful for your service.

Never anything as good as yours. The happiness you helped put into this couples life is worth far more than money.

Low as in sales price? I have always found the lower priced clients are more grateful AND raving fans!

Good morning Peter Mohylsky . You will get rewarded for working with older people. Remember, someday you too will be old.

Good morning Peter. It sounds to me that you are doing a good job representing your client, it also sounds like you will get them to the finish line.

I recently worked with 78 olds and they are the most adorable couple ever. I truly enjoy working with older people.

Congratulations! At least you wrote an offer today! Not sure how low it was but I wrote one last week for $7,000 (yes, you heard that right) and we did not win. But I take the attitude that I am in this business to help people in all price ranges ... I don't think about anything but serving the client to the best of my ability. Every client deserves that. Hoping you get your deal together.

Some of my least expensive homes sold are to some of the best people I've ever met. And it's SO rewarding when that happens. My last spontanious review was a young woman who moved her from the NE (to GA) and such a fun client. I know we'll remain friends.

As long as you help someone get into the home THEY want who really cares about the price? The goal is homeownership! Hope it works out for you and your clients!

Peter, that is a feel good story! The transaction price isn't the only thing that makes it fun and rewarding.

How special is that, to finally have had their Dream Home, for and with them Peter Mohylsky, come true! This is what we do, and fortunately there are realtors like us that do hang in there, no matter how long it takes!! Everyone has 'a story', and some are just more interesting to tell . . . it took us 4 years to move to Tucson, and we bought our home from the same realtor that we initially interviewed in our first year out in Tucson - he was in his '70's' then, and we are still happy and proud to know him - he's now in his '80's', and still doing real estate. Some things are just 'meant to be'! Congrats on that Offer!!
