It will all depend on reducing our tax structure thus reducing overhead for individuals and releasing more available income. Definitely a Republican needs to win this next election.

Tony and Suzanne,

At this point, I have no idea.  As my friend, Michael Jacobs would not doubt say, "it depends!"  These are interesting times, and maybe they are the best of times because there is a whole of shaking going on.  Perhaps, some of those who are apathetic will wake up from their "I don't care" slumber!  A

IT SURE WILL with  a capital !!! First consumer confidence and a potential huge loss in jobs. if a socialist takes over threatening to tax people up to 90% there will be no more investment in business, growth, stocks or such as people will get penalized to take a risk to build a business. A $15 hour minimum wage will cripple small bussiness and force large companie sto replace workers with automation and in fast food, ordering stations. Coroporation in mass will move money over seas. They want to penalize people and companies formking money but it takes money to make money and that inludes using local workers, providing jobs, buying local material  and those workers spend their money back locally.

Based on the crap i heard one of those fellows saying, I could see the rich selling all their stocks, and leaving the country with their truckloads of gold.

Leaving the country with no industry, no jobs, just a bunch of entitlements that we have no way to pay.

Not having any jobs could effect buying power for most buyers.

did we learn nothing from the crash of the economy in the ussr?

Yes.  The results of any big show of force (and voting is exercising political power and force) will have an impact on the markets.  I predict a stall in the market for the month or two leading up to the election, then activity based upon people's views on who won and what their economic policy will be.

Impossible answer. If a President wants to do something like ending the mortgage interest deduction or no more 30 years loans, it really doesnt matter.

In the long run, possibly.  I don't think it will do much in the short run.  The government is so much more of a beast than one president.

Life happens and people will always HAVE TO move but I'm told to expect things to slow around election time...  Once the newness of whomever moves into PA Ave wears off I would guess we won't see much change... But of course that all depends upon who moves in.  ;)

Yes. There will be those who will sit on the fence to see who gets elected. Right now, I think we are living in challenging times and our choice of good, quality candidates is poor.

Not so much as in years past. The thing that will fuel the market will be the financial markets and they are becoming more insulated to the party in control.

Most leaders of our country want people to realize their American Dream. They would surely support the homeowners any which way they can.
