I keep a small book in my car to write down mileage and what is was for. Looking as a couple of apps but there's something about that pen and paer...old school, I know!

I have tried several different methods and find that a pocket calendar and a pen work best for me.  Yes, it is old school, but according to my accountant, it works best for me.

It's pretty simple Fred, a digital recorder and an ability to read an odometer or tripmeter and I'm in like Flynn.

Fred I use an app called Tax Bot.  I like it very much.  It keeps track of my mileage and business related expenses.

Pen and paper for me but I am sure there are better ways.

A notebook in my car. My notebook is specifically for Auto, almost running out, looked for a new one but so far no luck.

MileIQ works great for me. Easy to export spreadsheets as needed and it tracks whenever I leave the driveway so I don't have to remember to do it for every trip

Fred - I have always just used pen and paper, but wouldn't mind an app if someone knows of a good one.

I report the actual miles and keep a small ringed notebook in the side pocket and record where I go every day along with the miles.

 Good morning Fred Griffin . Both of my vehicles are owned by the corporation.  the inspection vehicle is 100% write off as it is used strictly for business. The other vehicle is used 80% for marketing. I also write that off 100%.

Fred Griffin usually, my calendar had my appointments - and distances are added sometimes weekly, sometimes monthly. Helps me keep track of my thousands of miles of driving.

I track my schedule and recap at the end of the week. It is not exact but I can substantiate it.

We use Taxbot but it takes discipline.

I use google calendar to keep up with my  mileage. I also write it down in a paper book for my records. 

I buy mileage logs from the local association and write down my start and stop each day.

I use a great app called MileIQ that keeps track of where I drive to and how far I drive.  It is awesome and easy!

Only the odometer as I use this vehicle 100% for real estate.

Pen and Paper.  I keep the log in my portfolio which I carry with me everywhere I go.  It works well for me.

I always start  with MileIQ in the beginning of the year, but end up recording on my calendar by the end of the year.

Fred Griffin I use a paper trip log and record mileage for each trip. At the end of the year, I add up the mileage. I use my vehicle 100% for business so the trip log is justification for miles driven.

Good ole' paper. I've tried an app & gave it up. Too many points of touch to get the job done vs just writing.

I wish my stupid car would just do it. It tells me the pressure in my tires which I could care less about except when they are leaking lol.

Excel spreadsheet. I just plug in the mileage for each trip. I also put all my other expenses in there as well. Works for me!
