Petroleum products are EVERYWHERE. You're using one now, most likely.

The problem is even though fuel costs are way down, once prices go up, they rarely go down. Look at the airlines? The producers will simply take more profit and we are left with high food prices

Grocery prices have been dramatically increasing for quite a while due to the worsening CAD / USD exchange rates caused by the oil sector amongst other factors.

There was a comment on the news today about this causing $8 Cauliflower in Canada.

And now Susan Emo has to wait for Valentines day to enjoy this special California treat.

This is going to have a huge impact on our economy. Just read today to be on the lookout for airline cutting their fares within the next week or so. Huge discount on its way.

I really don't think we will see the prices of other goods and services go down. But I sure will keep enjoying these lower gasoline prices.

We should, as the delivery costs are lower, for example, but I don't beleve that would be a direct result. Our oil company imposed a "fuel fee" when oil was sky high and they still have it in place!

Doubtful.  Once they have you paying a premium, the don't give it back.  They'll probably jack up the prices again later when gas goes back up.

I think the weather will have a greater affect on Food prices .

Lower transportation costs combined with good growing seasons and barring natural disasters - will bring about lower food costs in my opinion. If fuel stays low through the spring and summer and it's a good year for most crops - I think food prices will come down.

What goes up does not always come down.

#2. Houston, Oklahoma and NB suffer job loses

#3. City recycle efforts fail, no one will buy the plastic and the landfills get the stuff. Highly skilled workers at the recycle food chain suffer unemployment.

#4. Electric cars can't find a friend.

#5 Food prices and healthcare costs will far exceed the benefit of cheap gas.

No groceries will not reduce. 

Unfortunately I don't think you will see grocery prices falling due to lower gas prices..they are escalating.

I am worried that t may affect the economy because of job losses.

Oil prices only affect other commodity prices in an upward direction. Prices are not coming down.

The impact will be loss of job for those in the oil industry.  IMHO.

I know my clients working in the oil industry may need to sell their home due to dropping prices, but have not seen any decrease in grocery prices. 

Grocery prices are going up and have a greater impact on many families than the reduced cost of gas.

Don't count on it especially in California where the average price for regular unleaded gas was reported to be $2.80 yestereday.
