Jack - We have bought three homes and sold two, but are hoping to buy a few more as investments. I use all experience I have had in real estate when working with clients.

Seven if we are counting bought and sold separately or five if not.  My husband and I are also working on our first commercial piece of property-it is so exciting.  Yes, I definitely use my personal experience when working with clients and also all of the experience I have gotten over the past 13 plus  years!

 Personally, just two. I'm the person that real estate agents hate. Been in the same house for over 40 years.

Personally bought 13 homes.  Sold 6.  Still own a few.  Would love to sell one in Yuma, AZ.  It is too far away.  I like to own real estate. 

Enough to keep my lights on and my wife happy.

I do use my experience to help guide clients. My first love is architectural design and I have gutted, remodeled, re-imagine my personal residences in Miami, Miami Beach, NY, Mexico and in the Caribbean. Probably 25+ and not stopping!

Dozens and quit counting a long time ago. The past experience however has stuck with me.

Too many to count over more than 50 years in the business. Yes, that is valuable experience to share.

Personally? 8, I believe total. And YES, the experiences with both purchases and sales were great lessons.
1, we had a listing agent who was completely AWOL and made our decisions for us. (That was before I was licensed) LESSON: Do NOT hire a 'family friend'.
2, we bought new construction without hiring a buyer's agent, NEVER AGAIN would we do that.
3, we bought land out of state and the agent LIED and said she was not a dual agent. THE LISTING AGENT WAS HER HUSBAND IN THE SAME OFFICE. We did not relist with her, when we sold even though she originally came highly recommended. LESSON: Vet em yourself, even if you trust the source.
4, we bought when we were mad at each other. LOL. NO!
5, we bought right, sold right, then listed it for the next 2 owners. :D
6, we bought right, I let one of my dumb agents list it. He was fired over it. LESSON: No inexperienced agents for a listing . . . and no more agents for my office.
7, we bought right, still have. Almost missed the deal as someone else was writing when we executed the contract. LESSON: If you want it, pay the price and do it fast. If it's good, it will be gone.
8. we hired the best listing agents in the area that we knew, but they were also the reigning REO royalty . . . gave our listing ZERO attention. The next agent got it done. LESSON: If they're too busy, someone's gonna get ignored.

I've both and sold six home.  Debbie's bought and sold three.  Yes we use our personal experience with our clients.

I honestly no longer remember , but my best guess is about 50 ,(does not include building lots).

I've owned 23 units within the past 35 years.... I sold all of them except the home I live in and one single family home that I rent to family....

Three and that's probably it unless I win a lottery.
