Just got a Honda Civic for the mileage.  No lease.  I drive too much.  I'm a contrarian, I don't drive a luxury car as I don't want to give the impression to prospective clients that I am better than them.

never lease. always buy. just got an Infinity QX80 for buyers, our listing car is the Infinity G37 sport convertible.

My cars are always leased. My husband, who manages the books and taxes, feels it's a better option for me.

Next car is definitely a lease.  I have it picked out for next year... Audi A5 cabriolet.  Now I just have to decide if it's going to be Brillant Black, Florett Silver or Misano Red Pearl.

With a lease, I'll be paying less, per month, than my Acura TLX.

It would be a Hyundi unless we get a Kia dealership in town soon. The most bang for the buck plus that 100,000 mile 10 year warranty.

Or maybe I'd buy a steam roller and go looking for Blair Walsh!

Never a lease, it will probably be another Chevy HHR, we love them and it wouldn't be new.  They quit making them in 2011.

I am so not a car person and so lease and as long as it runs I have no preference.

I put too many miles on a vehicle per year.  Buy, no lease for me.

I always leased changing to a new car every 2-3 years. I'm still waiting for a Tesla:)

Leasing isn't an option for us because of how much we drive.  Amanda has a new Prius and I'm thinking about a new Jeep this spring.

we have the Lexus LS460 FSport which is coming to an end of the lease in 18 months and it's so unique on the road even though now not brand new we are thinking of keeping it.

I buy and pay cash or pay them off quickly.  I don't like bills. Volvo XC90.  I like the safety features.

I leased once and it drove me crazy thinking about staying in my mileage estimate, etc. I am more relaxed owning and being able to do whatever I want with the vehicle including giving it away because it is mine. I have passed my cars down to my kids before.

Will be buying a new domestic outright in 2018.

I like to own our vehicles with no debt.

I get to lease a new one later this year, and being a car nut I have NO idea what I will end up with. I am already making eyes at about a dozen or so makes and models. 

I am not a lease fan! My 2005 Acura TL is just about broke in with 170,000 miles!

It would be a Toyota Truck as a purchase as the mileage penalties are to high.

 There are a lot of good options when it comes to purchasing a vehicle.

Leasing has too many disadvantages.  It is simpler to buy.

i buy, my wife i get a lease. she likes a new car every three years. i drive my beat up toyo until it acts up too much (like 200k) then get a new one. half the time i am tempted to hit the outside with a hammer to break it in on the first day so i wont regret it when it gets its first ding.lol

William, is this a wish car or practical car? The answers would be very different. The right answer would be "both", suggesting a prosperous year?

We had always bought until last year. My current Connecticut BMW 328ix is a lease, which I like because I can get the latest model in two years. The wish car? Porsche Carrera (for my hubby, as long as he shares).

Love the  BMW 335i six-speed Convertible (own) for cruising around Miami with the top down.

BUY, if you plan on keeping the same brand, leses can work if you go over in miles but if you want to switch, it is too costly

I do lease my business car to my business, and have another car paid for.

Buy, leasing is great if you plan on changing cars regularly.  We buy good cars, take care of them, pay them off early and enjoy them for years.  7-10

I'm debating it.  I have the cash to buy (especially after these two listings sell), however I may lease to let the dealer take the depreciation and then buy it in a few years at a lower price.  There are a lot of 0 down, 0% apr leases these days out here and it could be cheaper to go that route.  Especially since I put on 16k miles in the last 1.75 years, I could go for the super low mileage lease.  Just need to make sure I can put in a police radio and an airhorn/PA system without violating any warranty terms.  I know I'm in the clear if I buy... not sure about lease.

Next car is a Ford Edge SUV, probably AWD.  I'm planning on keeping the Beemer as a fun car and fixing the top eventually (2 grand, most of which in parts!)

I like not having payments, but if I can save a few grand doing a lease-purchase (where have I seen that before???) then it may make sense.  SUVs I can even write off still.  Plus, with the way tech is advancing to the point now that self driving cars (freeways mainly) are in the prototyping stages and in limited production in Europe (Volvo has a really great one), in two-three years I may want to switch to a newer vehicle.

Can't count a lease off anymore.  I just had my 2006 ride repainted and it's good for another 200,000 miles.  

New car?  Not a chance- I love my 2003 Toyota Highlander!  198,500 miles and still kicking.  My mechanic says that my car is in better condition than most of the new ones he sees. Although I do baby her!

William, it really depends on what kind and price of car you are looking at. If you are using it for work it might be better to buy, but spending $50K is a lot of cash to come up with and even if you finance it, the payments will be high.

If you lease, then buy it at the end of the lease, your sticker shock will be less.

After buying my last 68 cars, I have leased the last two. (I know, I' m a car nut!!)
