Usually no time to read other answers unless the topic really intrigues me.

Jack - Sometimes I read other people's answers and then respond. Other times I will answer and then read other people's response. Other times I will just answer and move on without reading anyone else's answers, like I did with this one.

I generally like to answer, then go and read other comments.  

Mostly, I respond to the question. Occasionally, I read all the answers to become more knowledgeable about the subject!

That's sort of like looking at other kids answers on tests in grade school.

I answer mine and do watch for other answers too.  

Never, my only concern is if there's room for my 2 cents there. When I see a large number of answers already in the fray I typically will leave well enough alone and move on.

For the most part ... I answer first and if I have the time I will read other comments.

I usually read answers first so I don't belabor a point already made... unless I think belaboring is appropriate.  LOL
