Flip Over Read Directions?

I do know what FORD is, but don't really use it.... this kind of thing is just too "scripted" for me and I get all involved in remembering the script instead of communicating naturally.

I just listened to a training tape I found on Google, and it's sort of what I do naturally.

Good morning Anna. There is no specific plan as to the questions that I ask, if depends on the situation, but I ask plenty of them.

I know what FORD stands for, Howard Brinton style...and I will have to search for the book in which I had written down these questions...

I did not think its cars were ever tested at factory..... I  started buying the Japanese designed American cars.....

I don't ask, but I ask "are you looking to relocated to our lake or for a vacation home" and out spills the why they are buying, what they do, all about their family and their dream house.

Today I had to crush a dream when I told him the foreclosure 1.5 years ago meant no house for him for another year and half.

I have a set conversation that gathers tons of information and they don't even know they are providing me with everything I need to know to get started.

Absolutely, and is so easy when talking to clients, as the ones I call frequently I know alot about their family, where they vacation, their dreams, etc.

I once knew what they were and am sure I automatically use at least some of them, but may forget others.

Do not remember it in this context but have used it for a long time.

Oh and as an old car guy in the day it could mean

We where in the bar and restaurant business most of our lives and a hair and nail place.... conversation comes pretty easy

I do know the FORD questions and I've always tended to ask those questions..always good conversation questions to develop relationships!

I know them and I think they do help building rapport.

I agree that all agents should know the FORD questions, fortunately one more agent now knows.  Thank you Anna Banana Kruchten.  This will be very helpful for me.

For me, the Family, Occupation, and Recreation questions work well. I’m careful about broaching the Dreams question until a relationship has been established that I think gives me permission to go there.

Anna - Using FORD is a great way to generate a conversation with someone.

I know what FORD means and though I do not ask the questions right away I get the answers after a couple of appointments because I like to get to know them better.

All realtors should know what FORD means. Especially if they are looking for new clients.
