I call my client the very next day, and then follow up two weeks therafter by sending a small gift. Typically, I have built a pretty good relationship with my clients!  I stay in touch on a monthly basis in some manner.  If they have a friend, family member or collegue who is looking to buy or sell, I want to make sure they think of me first!

Well, first contact after closing is fairly quick - to let them know when we have funded and their home is theirs no longer (seller) or they may now move in to their new home (buyer).

totally depends on the client and situation.  Generally  not more than 24 hours. But occassionally we have a seller leaving the area and I follow up with a phone call in a few days after they have "arrived" at their new destination.  But with buyers, usually same day, but next at the latest.

Thanks for putting this question out there Deb. I think it depends on the moving situaton and the client.  I like that agents have said they'd send food on moving day. Much less intrusive, but shows you care. Food for thought!

I have a CRM that makes sure I personally contact the 1st day after closing with a call thanking them. Then an email 1 week and 2 weeks after about changing locks and appliances. Then a personal drop by 30 days after to see if all is well (if not home I leave a card). Then 6 month email / phone call follow ups for 6 years.

I always follow up to let them know their loan has funded (usually takes 2-4 hrs after closing) and make arrangements for them to get the keys (often by courier). I follow up the next day and touch base with them when I know they have moved in..sometimes in 1-2 weeks depends if they are local or from out of town. I like the idea about lunch..good one Ron and Alexandra Seigel !!

It depends on the client, but I really like to stop in with an "moving in kit" with things that they might need during the day - i.e. snacks, water/drinks, toilet paper, paper towels etc..  Then I try to see them within 2 weeks with a three ring binder of their home purchasing papers.
