I do yes but I usually sell my own listings these days!   I used to send them a card with a Starbucks card but now just a nice card and handwritten note.

The use of handwritten thank you notes defies time!

I haven't in the past, just made sure they knew they were appreciated as we went along the process. But I might start.

 We sent out a thank you card to every real estate agent that we do a transaction with.

No. The thank you is in the form of their commission check.

I do (unless I had such an idiot of an agent on the other side that I never want to have any contact with them again.... and every so often that does happen).

After we received one from another agent, I thought it was a very nice gesture. I called her afterwards and we spoke for a while. When I have sent these out...no one has ever responded back to me...

On a cross sale, the agents trust me and will let me over others. It is time to thank them and bring her flowers....  I once delivered roses you should see how appreciative the agent was. Most of time it is an orchid.

Male agents? Real estate is a women agent profession here (95-5).  I have done sales may be with 2 in 10 years. From this 2 sales one was unprofessinal. I got paid 6 months after filing complaints with DRE. The other other was a realtor I helped him out earlier of not losing his own home. He thanked me.

Im sorry to say I have not, nor have I received more than one in 10 years.

Always important to maintain good relations with your colleagues.

Rain - I do make a special effort to call them and thank them for working together to get the transaction to close, but do not send them a card.

I sometimes send notes and a gift card and other times an email. If I see them at closing I thank them there too.

I do.  Usually a phone call or a text message.  I make note of how the escrow went mentally.  I have a few agents I definitely want to work with again because I know they'll do what it takes to make it happen.

That's a great idea to send a Thank You card and connect with the other agent.  Perhaps invite them to coffee and exchange ideas is another networking building event after the closing.

I have had quite a few transactions where I have never met the agent in person so a phone call or email will likely be how I communicate my gratitude.  Other times it is in person.  

No but I like the idea- I think is a classy move!  But honestly I had one send me gourmet cookies and I don't remember who she is anymore- that was about 6 months ago.

i use to send out cards of thanks for showing my listings with a photo and description of the property it was a good way of networking .  Something I need to start again.

I prefer to thank the buyers and sellers.

Yes.  And when it has been an exceptional transaction, I send them a small gift.  I've received bottles of champagne, flowers and other gifts as well from agents with whom I have worked.  

I do not always send cards, but do thank them.

I do not send thank you cards to other agents and have not received any.
