On the front side for the knowledge and education points it all great, but the cost to maintain just are not worth it...Clients don't even know what the accolades stand for. With regards to CRP, 1 mile or 1000 miles we can do what ever the client needs to help on the local side. Though I think Joy Bender would agree that " International Property Specialist " takes CRP to a completely different level both in the type of client and the special attention needed to complete the deal even after the closing...

I'm CRP for Military through Cartus, I worked their Military & civilian Government Relo for 7 years, then created my own program when CB got greedy with commission caps at 70% combined with 50% off the top fees. I'm not CRP designation though, non military...although they seem like they'd be similar training. The military designation means I'm trained on their lingo, lifestyle & unique circumstances.

I work Corporate Relocation only when I am already working with a client that qualifies. I usually am not willing to give up that big a share of my commission.

Tony,
The majority of our clients do not have any Real Estate designations. One of them is a CPA which is of much great value than any of the aforementioned. They still make the big bucks. It is not the titles or the designations, it is the person...Michael Dell did not even finish college, nor did Steve Jobs! A

At my first brokerage I was certified but promises fell through; at the second I was also certified with the National Office and did sell a few.
The new office requires a certification that I am taking.
I do belong to International Real Estate Specialist and have had one sale from that in three years.
Make yourself a great day.

I do on occasion, but these days the split they want is so huge I often turn down the assignments. They are not worth the expense in time. I'm not a CRP, however. Been doing relocation business since 1992.

I have tried being a preferred REALTOR with relocation companies, but they prefer a "department". I have had my CRS for 15+ years and have assisted many executives over the years.

Tony and Suzanne Marriott, Associate Brokers always wonders how I can be a part of this - and getting some basic idea about how to go about it.

I do not work with any kind of relocation company. My experience is they charge too much and they are not easy to work with. I work directly with people who are relocating to the area ... no middle man thank you very much.

No - No & No. Many years ago I warded off relo buyers as my company would send them to 4 different areas & they would never buy in my area. It is so rare today that employees are even offered a package.
My one seller was given a great one & she is one of the rarities & I told her so.

I don't feel the need to get a designation to help clients no matter where they come from.
I am a member of Leading Real Estate Companies of the World, and also LuxuryRealEstate.com - Board of Regents. That connects me with about any city, country, or island in the world.

Happy new year. yes we accept assignments, no to the listing a designation. with the relo fee being so high its not a huge portion of our business. Although with so many businesses moving out here I could see some benifit to being positioned more strongly. Thanks for the thought.
