I usually stay home on New Year's Eve. I'm going to have a quiet night tonight. Tomorrow a friend of mine hosts an annual party will kinds of wonderful food including black eyed peas. I'll be going to that. The party has become a tradition for me. 

Fondue dinner at my daughter's home.  Her kids love it.  This year they wanted to try shrimp as well as steak and cheese.  Yum!

Champagne, great food (sometimes with family, sometimes with friends) and watching the ball drop in Times Square. I love being able to do this at 9 PM!!

It depends on our energy level if we go out or not. This year we stayed in and enjoyed the fireworks displays from our neighbors surrounding the lake where we live. It actually was very festive for an at-home New Year's!

 Good morning Sylvia. We go out to the Opryland Hotel, eat breakfast and then walk through the gardens.

We always stay home, do a little work, and enjoy our family and a few snacks.

I have my black eyed peas ready to go.

Black eyed peas, greens, ham, and we don't wash clothes. We'll be spending the day with friends tomorrow.

We stay up to see the ball drop and sleep a little late in the morning and then a day of watching football and I do some cooking. Tomorrow I am making an apple cobbler and a turkey and wild rice soup.

Silvia - We don't have one. This year, staying home and watching the college football playoffs.

     Fireworks... lots of fireworks.  Our entire neighborhood has a "shootout" to see who can make the most noise and the brightest fireworks.  The early birds already had their show at 9:00PM; the rest of us will be outside at midnight to light up the sky.

Good morning Silvia. No food tradition, but definitely will get back to getting to sleep much earlier.

Enjoyed being out for dinner with friends.

Black eyed peas, cabbage and whatever else is available.  I usually have a grand kid or two. Love making memories with them. We did watch the ball drop at 9pm then I watched at midnight local before going outside to view fireworks.

Working or sleeping through it!

For New Year's Eve, always go out with the same group of people, but some were sick or had other plans this year.  Had only the 4 of us.  Nothing tradional for New Year's Day, except maybe watch the Rose Parade. 

We usually stay him and make a great dinner together.  We went to an early movie, Brooklyn, and it was wonderful.  Wishing you and yours a very happy New Year.  A
