Yes.  And if there offer is not accepted or countered I send an acknowledgement from the seller that the offer was submitted to them and rejected.  It's a part of the state of California purchase agreement but unfortunately not widely followed.

YES! I make it a point to confirm receipt of all offers; as I expect the same courtesy when I send my offers to other agents. I also keep the agents updated, especially in multiple offers. I have had many accepted & declined agents thank me for my level of communication. I want my reputation to benefit my clients; I want you to want to work with me, so I behave that way.

I think it is crucial as well as an extremely important professional courtesy to acknowledge the receipt of an offer.

I always confirm receipt and when sending offers, have gotten so I write in large, red, bold letters PLEASE CONFIRM RECEIPT. Unfortunately, even that does not work sometimes, so I just keep pestering the agent until I get a written response.  I send with a read receipt, of course, but they can always opt not to respond to that, too.  It's pretty annoying.

I always confirm that I received it, if I didn't the other agent would have no idea if I got it or if it was floating around in limbo somewhere.  I think the day we can't pick up the phone, write an email, or type a text to say Thank you and to let them know we got it, is the day we need to find a different job.

 Good morning Paul. We do send out a confirmation email to both the buyer and real estate agents confirming the time and date of the inspection. We also send out SMS text messages as a reminder to hours before.

Absolutely, there is nothing wrong with asking for a confirmation. If we want something important delivered, we send it with "signature required" for acknowledgment. This may be important to demonstrate to your clients that their offer had been sent and received. Timing might be an issue as well, so it's good to establish a timeline.

Ugh, I prefer to be courteous on both sides sides of transaction. Unfortunately not everyone operates the same way.  That is life.

I always respond back that I received the offer and say think you. 

I always acknowledge I've gotten it.  And I always call or text when I'm sending an offer.  Wouldn't be nice if everyone behaved like us?  

Paul, I always confirm receipt and ask for the same.  I'll hound an agent until I get that confirmation.  Agents usually call me within 30 minutes after sending the offer over if I don't reply by then.

Yes, always. And I send communication when the seller has decided to accept/reject/counter the offer. Few agents communicate when the offer is rejected without a counter but I think it is "best practice" in all cases.

I usually confirm receipt of the offer and thank the agent for the offer.  The same etiquette is not always reciprocated.  This might be a great idea for a one hour MCE credit.
