Yes. And if there offer is not accepted or countered I send an acknowledgement from the seller that the offer was submitted to them and rejected. It's a part of the state of California purchase agreement but unfortunately not widely followed.

YES! I make it a point to confirm receipt of all offers; as I expect the same courtesy when I send my offers to other agents. I also keep the agents updated, especially in multiple offers. I have had many accepted & declined agents thank me for my level of communication. I want my reputation to benefit my clients; I want you to want to work with me, so I behave that way.

Yes . I call them and personally thank them. Someone took time to write a deal on your listing. you should take the 2 minutes to thank them and their buyer.

Paul,
I think it is crucial as well as an extremely important professional courtesy to acknowledge the receipt of an offer.

I always confirm receipt and when sending offers, have gotten so I write in large, red, bold letters PLEASE CONFIRM RECEIPT. Unfortunately, even that does not work sometimes, so I just keep pestering the agent until I get a written response. I send with a read receipt, of course, but they can always opt not to respond to that, too. It's pretty annoying.

I always confirm that I received it, if I didn't the other agent would have no idea if I got it or if it was floating around in limbo somewhere. I think the day we can't pick up the phone, write an email, or type a text to say Thank you and to let them know we got it, is the day we need to find a different job.

Yes, the same here. I confirm offers and other forms I receive, and I do expect the same from other agents.
5,552,062
Absolutely, because if you don't in Denver, they will call and text until you do!

Absolutely and don't understand those who don't. We should all show each other the professional courtesy that we would like to be shown.

Good morning Paul. We do send out a confirmation email to both the buyer and real estate agents confirming the time and date of the inspection. We also send out SMS text messages as a reminder to hours before.

Paul S. Henderson, Realtor, Broker, Tacoma Washington just as a courtesy, it's a great idea to acknowledge the offer from buyer's agent.
And you are right - we don't have the final say on the outcome - we are just the messengers.
We should focus on relationships with other agent in our community.

Yes. No one wants to be left not knowing if the offer was received, accepted or not.
3,725,002
Absolutely confirm receipt. If I don't get a confirmation, I'm on the phone with the listing agent to make sure everything is safely in his in box.

Yes, I confirm receipt of offers. I have had the same problem in the past with some limited service brokerages.

Paul - I would confirm receipt of any offer, and expect the same when one is submitted on behalf of my clients.
2,631,522
Absolutely! I am stunned and amazed by those Brokers or Agents who don't acknowledge receipt of an offer.
2,224,317
I hate it when I ask for confirmation and there's no reply. I operate like you do.
2,131,734
Yes, Indo and I appreciate it when other agents acknowledge receipts of offers that I have submitted.
868,012
Absolutely, there is nothing wrong with asking for a confirmation. If we want something important delivered, we send it with "signature required" for acknowledgment. This may be important to demonstrate to your clients that their offer had been sent and received. Timing might be an issue as well, so it's good to establish a timeline.

Ugh, I prefer to be courteous on both sides sides of transaction. Unfortunately not everyone operates the same way. That is life.

I always acknowledge I've gotten it. And I always call or text when I'm sending an offer. Wouldn't be nice if everyone behaved like us?

Paul, I always confirm receipt and ask for the same. I'll hound an agent until I get that confirmation. Agents usually call me within 30 minutes after sending the offer over if I don't reply by then.
634,382
Yes, always. And I send communication when the seller has decided to accept/reject/counter the offer. Few agents communicate when the offer is rejected without a counter but I think it is "best practice" in all cases.
883,928
Oh, yes. Confirm receipt, and let them know approximate day and time I'll be presenting to sellers.
477,209
I usually confirm receipt of the offer and thank the agent for the offer. The same etiquette is not always reciprocated. This might be a great idea for a one hour MCE credit.
4,530,750
I always acknowledge that the offer was received and will be presented to the seller.

U-Bet! If not, might as well let FSBO take place as owners would do just that
