No Christmas talk before Thanksgiving! 

Yes, we have been programmed well.

It's all about merchandising. We have been conditioned to spend our money for the next thing. And we fall into the trap! What I hate is that in January, news stories tell us what dummies we were to spend to much on Christmas that it will take us all year to pay off the credit card.

We live in a very fast paced world, we rarely take the time to relax and enjoy the moments.  Our culture is such that we do not take time to enjoy the quiet also where our energy and well being is...A

you and I live in different worlds.  Jesus us alive and in my world and that of my friends and famiy and neighbors all through the year, not just Christmas.

We are still in the holiday glow here. More parties this week 

A woman on my Facebook quite proudly announced that she had all herChristmas decorations packed away the day after Christmas.  I felt sorry for her kids that their season was taken up so short.

After the Holiday is over, people want to get on with life, except for the Christmas lights until after the first of the year.

A client started blowing up my phone at 6:30am they had put the home search off this fall so I was excited to hear from them and blurted out Merry Christmas.  They are Jewish and I knew that but it was habit embarrasing!

We are COMPLETELY programmed. The good news is that reprogramming is doable!

Christmas is over and thoughts turn to New Years Eve. Once over Valentine's Day. Then ......! Yep, always on to something new!

Are you implying that Christmas is over already on this 6th day of Christmas?

Not over yet - Russian Orthodox Christmas is January 7th. Some stores are already "de-Christmas-ed".

I've been asking everyone this week whether they had a nice Christmas and wishing them a Happy New Year.

Yes, it is true and most people like that. It creates a warm fuzzy feeling of predictability and attachment.

Yet, do remember, not all celebrate Christmas on 25th:)
