One of the things I've found over the years is that a transaction process list can be very personal and also differ from transaction to transaction.

I use a modified version of the one in my CRM, Top Producer. It keeps me on track.

I have a critical date list and an escrow flow chart. E me with contact info to shoot them over. They can be a blueprint. Nina Hollander is right, though. Just a guide to create what would be a very elastic, fluid document.

Jason Gibb it varies from state to state. I do have all my documents that I discuss with the buyers in MA.

Plus ActiveRain has plenty of resource for this.

You can still call me, if you want more....

I track the contingency removal dates and I have a small list of paperwork I have to have in.  Other than that, nothing.

sounds like you're using Infusionsoft, or something similar. I've built the transaction workflows in IFS before, feel free to email me and I can tell you the mistakes I've made.

One of the big ones - starting with too much complexity.

Keep the steps simple at first - maybe start with contingency deadlines/milestones only. As you build it, leave 10-20 steps in between each simple step, then add as needed. It's harder to delete than it is to add, messes up the pipeline reports pretty badly and clean up is painful and expensive.
