I did Property Management my second year in the business. It was a great learning experience. But I decided, "no more", because Property Management is its own entity.

No property management. That can be a full time job on it's own, and i think brokers have to give their agents approval first before they can become involved with property management.

I have my own personal property management with about 50 units but don't manage anyone elses. There are a few commercial properties in that number.

Just residential. When I started in the Minneapolis area, you were either residential or commercial - never the twain shall meet. Now that I'm in La Crosse, agents do both. I might list a commercial building, but I will leave the sale of a business to the experts.
I have had a few people ask me about property management, but when I found my broker will take a cut, I had to refuse.

We did res/commercial for 2 years, then just commercial 2 more. It is so hard to find good staff. I also started in property mgt in CA early 90s. Huge company so the staff was there. But too tenant friendly and too many crooked and litigious tenants! Long/short: not for me.

At one time, I had a large property management business that I eventually sold to a regional company.

I manage my own rentals. Would be willing to manage other's rentals, however not actively seeking that line of business. Commerical is it's own beast and I do not want to venture there. If a seasoned commerical agent wanted to join the team, that would be great but it's not something we're actively looking for either.

No, I refer my clients who want to have their homes "managed" to other professionals in my area whose expertise is that.

Although primarily Residential , i do list, sell and lease commercial properties. I have cut back on property management of small apartments but still manage single family rentals, condominiums, large multis and commercial properties.

NO! I leave that to the professionals who do it on a daily basis. Fred Griffin is right..Property Management is its own entity.
