Think of it as "staging" your gift!

20 minutes to wrap a gift! Definitely the gift itself is more important but the presentation does mean something. My mom gets the super fancy wraps because I know she appreciates it and saves it to!

Part of the festivity. I just wrapped a 2 x 2 ft square box with a ream of silver foil paper . . . the recipient will think it's the bomb.

Yes I believe in making a gift look as beautiful as possible. Even though the wrapping can be torn off in a few seconds, it gives me a great deal of satisfaction seeing the beauty that I can create. So yes it was definitely worth your time in my opinion.

Gift bags...I'm a notoriously bad wrapper (and rapper, Notorious BGW could be my rap name). With some friends/family I've taken the joke as far as putting things in a CVS bag and tying it to look bow-like.

Both are important to me. Presentation is always important to me and I believe the selection process and the wrapping are represent me and my caring. So if someone doesn't appreciate the wrapping, I don't get too caught up in being disappointed. I know I did the right thing.

I think that the gift being useable and appropriate is more important

I love Patricia Kennedy's response, however I use gift bags. 99 cent store has great ones and the people can reuse the bag next year, so it's like two, two, two gifts in one!

I am mostly a fan of the thought and the sentiment more than that gift or the wrapper.

There are those that consider both to be the gift. Me, i am a core person

I think both are important... that's like saying when you prepare a meal, should you have a nice presentation or just throw in on a plate....

If the wrapping gives you pleasure, continue your best wrapping. However, you do not need to wrap the bottle of wine you selected for me.

Good morning Praful. It is all about the thought and the gift, not the wrapping.

Each recipient is different. Some are more interested in the gift, others more interested in the wapping.
