I am being "grandma" over this Holiday and that let's me off the hook for cooking. Am also going to a big family get together on Christmas Day and I bring some adult libation.
I let those who enjoy cooking do the cooking. I help out with the eating responsibilities.
Hello TWA? I need to book a flight to Lise Howe 's place in to Washington D.C. right away....I'm in hurry please. Why? She is baking & taking things out of the oven...hurry please
I cook nothing in advance for any holiday.
I won't be doing a lot of cooking this year since I had foot surgery.
Lise, oh my you go all out. I have not baked a thing, or started cooking.

No. And, I don't think any one would want me to start, either. Not if they don't want to get poisoned.
That really looks good. I hope you will include your recipes in your blogs.
my Armenian cookies are made....there's a Carrot cake in the freezer....that's it so far..
When do you have time to sell RE? Be sure to send the fruitcake to me!

Gorgeous! I have never been much of a baker. We are making tamales starting Tuesday . . . those I shall rock!
Lise Howe You prepared very delicious cooking for Christmas.
Have a Wonderful Merry Christmas!
You rock the kitchen. Lucky family and friends that get to sample all of your goodies. Happy holidays.
You have been so busy with real estate . When did you find the time?
Good morning Lise. I just finished baking my apples last night. What you have looks absolutely delicious.
All the make-ahead items are done but I have plenty of make-fresh items to handle for Christmas Eve dinner and breakfast and dinner on Christmas day.
Love your holiday style, Lise!
I bought today staff for Tiramisu. It is easy to make and it takes days for it to get ''ready'':)
Zero time to cook. But yours looks lovely.
I am not even shopping for it until Tuesday or Wednesday so no, no start here yet.
A friend from Lloyd, Florida... a senior senior citizen.. brought me the best fruitcake I have ever eaten (and I don't even like fruitcake). Her fruitcake was not all gooey-gummy like those famous name brand fruitcakes.
Reminder me to send her a thank-you note!
Yum. Your cake looks great.
I won't be the chief cook for Christmas. That duty is left up to others with more talent in the kitchen that me.
I don't think I have ever had sugar plums. We will be eating dinner at my sons home. They are doing the cooking, as they wanted. My daughter has Thanksgiving and my son has Christmas. That's one of the advantages of being the grandparents.
I don't cook for Christmas. I go to a buffet. Sadly, havent' figured out which one yet.
Impressive progress and gorgeous products. Not here, only some cookies so far.
Looks and sounds very exquisite and delicious, I am thinking about visiting you for Christmas Lise!
Not yet; however I plan to take off Wed and will get much done Wed and Thur
Lise, that looks gorgeous. I haven't even thought about cooking yet!
Hi Lise-that roll is gorgeous! Tomorrow I am going to prepare my seafood lasagna for Christmas eve dinner. It will be made and frozen until serving day.
WE don't do anyting fancy, we will fon due this year
Lets see 25 trays of Baklava, 9 cheesecakes, 4 dozen gluten free cookies and only 9 more trays of Baklava, 6 cheesecakes and she is yelling for me to get off the computer and come ice cookies. See ya later!
We are going shopping for that large list today. Cooking actually starts Wednesday.
That is beautiful. My cooking will be minimal, Christmas Eve is when we celebrate--feast of 7 fishes with Champagne. Christmas Day has not been figured out yet maybe we will do what Michael Jacobs is doing. A
We used to make fruitcake as kids. Now my brother sends one as gift. Yum
I am making the other kind of fruitcake, and those will be baked Christmas Eve, never heard of Sugarplums except in The Night Before Christmas and I have not tried to make the third one.
Sounds delicious, i could volunteer as a taste tester Lise Howe . Perhaps reading blogs about food while starving is not a good idea
Oh my gosh! Get outa the way, Martha Stewart! Lise is here.
Way to go. They look simply delicious. I keep thinking about the fruitcake you described weeks ago.
Last evening, seriously Friday, I had a pan of confection in process targeting the magical 237 degrees when the rep from Back at You Media called. Took my eyes off the stove for 30 seconds and the pot overflowed instantly filling the house with burnt sugar smoke and a gooey mess that persisted well into the night.
Today, I have in my possession a special made carrot cake as my Plan B. Everyone will LOVE it!
Have a Merry Christmas.
