Lise -- I'm impressed.   I will do no baking or cooking --- I make reservations.  

I am being "grandma" over this Holiday and that let's me off the hook for cooking. Am also going to a big family get together on Christmas Day and I bring some adult libation.

I let those who enjoy cooking do the cooking.  I help out with the eating responsibilities.

I cook nothing in advance for any holiday.

I won't be doing a lot of cooking this year since I had foot surgery.

Lise, oh my you go all out.   I have not baked a thing, or started cooking.

No.  And, I don't think any one would want me to start, either.  Not if they don't want to get poisoned.

my Armenian cookies are made....there's a Carrot cake in the freezer....that's it so far..

All the make-ahead items are done but I have plenty of make-fresh items to handle for Christmas Eve dinner and breakfast and dinner on Christmas day.

I bought today staff for Tiramisu. It is easy to make and it takes days for it to get ''ready'':) 

Zero time to cook. But yours looks lovely.

I am not even shopping for it until Tuesday or Wednesday so no, no start here yet.

     A friend from Lloyd, Florida... a senior senior citizen.. brought me the best fruitcake I have ever eaten (and I don't even like fruitcake).  Her fruitcake was not all gooey-gummy like those famous name brand fruitcakes.

Reminder me to send her a thank-you note!

I won't be the chief cook for Christmas. That duty is left up to others with more talent in the kitchen that me. 

I don't think I have ever had sugar plums.  We will be eating dinner at my sons home. They are doing the cooking, as they wanted.  My daughter has Thanksgiving and my son has Christmas.  That's one of the advantages of being the grandparents.

I don't cook for Christmas.  I go to a buffet.  Sadly, havent' figured out which one yet.

Hi Lise-that roll is gorgeous! Tomorrow I am going to prepare my seafood lasagna for Christmas eve dinner. It will be made and frozen until serving day.

I am making the other kind of fruitcake, and those will be baked Christmas Eve, never heard of Sugarplums except in The Night Before Christmas and I have not tried to make the third one.

Way to go. They look simply delicious. I keep thinking about the fruitcake you described weeks ago.

Last evening, seriously Friday, I had a pan of confection in process targeting the magical 237 degrees when the rep from Back at You Media called. Took my eyes off the stove for 30 seconds and the pot overflowed instantly filling the house with burnt sugar smoke and a gooey mess that persisted well into the night.

Today, I have in my possession a special made carrot cake as my Plan B. Everyone will LOVE it!
