You have to share directly to Facebook, you can't use the sharing tool at the top of your post.

And the reality is, you want to share directly to Facebook and avoid using third party applications to share your content on Facebook. Facebook's Edgerank (their algorithm that determines what shows in someone's newsfeed) will give an advantage to any content shared directly on Facebook. It's worth it to take the extra 2 minutes it takes to head over to FB and paste your link in directly there.

We use a third party service called 'AddThis'. This issue is originating with them. We have discussed tapping into the API directly to allow sharing to Facebook, but even then the content shared from AR would have less impact than if you share it direct on Facebook.

Facebook sharing seems to be a hit or miss situation, sometimes it works well when you post the link directly there, sometimes it does not.

Try again in an hour and it may work.

As far as the sharing programs, they seldom work.

Using the link directly or sending on AR's share button? Either way, give up the way that is not working. I have problems with AR's share on everything for some reason.

Agree with Bob Crane above regarding posting on Facebook.  There never seems to be a consistent response received there.  One time it's this .. another time it's that, Bob Stewart.  I go direct to Facebook with my link and get a host of things that happen in response.  If I have the time, I'll mess with it until it appears as I wish.  Other times, I've just aborted the posting entirely ... or gone ahead and posted without a pic.  It can be frustrating posting over there ...

Annette Lawrence , Palm Harbor, FL 727-420-4041 unlike sharing on G+ or LinkedIn, the images are probably not transferred to Facebook from AR posts. (I usually put direct link on Facebook business page - and do not share from the links on top of the post.)

Annette Lawrence , Palm Harbor, FL 727-420-4041 - I believe you are correct that Bob Stewart's comment "Share directly to Facebook" means that you write your text and upload your photos directly in Facebook.

I personally prefer composing directly in the relevant social media platform (FB, Pinterest, G+ etc).  In that way, the password is not provided to multiple sites which could be compromised, you don't need to worry about third parties changing the way they work (as you see with your issue and Bob's response) and more.

I don't post from AR to other sites, so that hasn't been an issue.  Check my reply to Bob Stewart's comment though, there is some magic not happening on the image URL coding that gives me a similar problem when I paste the content into my own WordPress blog.

I've never been able to get my AR pictures onto Facebook--ever. I just put in a new post into Facebook, upload the picture I want and provide a short url link in my FB post.
