We dont have a set budget, but we try to make sure the distribution is fair. And, no delivery service here, they had better show up at our house, no excuses!

One son and this is the year to visit with him at Christmas. As far as spending limit, that would be a question for mmy wife!

Yes, there is a limit. And no, no gifts in person or delivering, ours live at the other end of the country. (Of course, we have three grandsons who are all in their 20's and the youngest grandchild is almost 17--so gift cards are the way to go with them)

We just give a check to our son and daughter in law.  When we have grandkids it will be different.

I have nieces and nephews and I never set a monetary limit but tried to always keep it in the same range. I do however have an age cut off at 18.

We have over 45 nieces and nephews so budgeting is required. We ship from Kauai to them.

I try to Christmas shop throughout the year, picking things up at craft fairs and sometimes estate sales.  Then I figure out who gets what as the holidays approach.

I have 6 grandkids all local.  The oldest is 11 yrs. and I usually get her a surprise item. Couple years ago it was a duffel bag / back pack from her cheerleading  group and had her knick name emboryied (nugget) ..Last year I bought her a laptop computer.  

The others are young, we gave year memberships to an indoor play ground. They loved it and it's great year round.

This year we are getting 6 flag season passes for everyone.  No delivery...going to Holiday in the Park together will get them there 

We have a set budget and we all get together on Christmas Day to exchange gifts.

I can't wait to visit my first grandchild and daughter (and son-in-law) who were stationed in Hawaii in September. Holiday gifts are limited to what can fit in the extra suitcase as shipping to Hawaii isnt very cost effective. 

Kids and grandkids are just minutes away. All in person. No budget but we keep it under control.

I don't really follow too much of a budget. I will be giving my gifts in person. 

I do not have kids/grandkids but when it comes to gift giving for charities I do set dollar limits inline with what I would donate in cash to similar charities.

With endorsement from their parents. Gave them only if will keep them occupied longer.

Right now it is lego or construction kits....

Amanda - We usually have a good idea about what we are going to spend on our kids. We spend the holidays with our children (one still lives at home), so we open them all together on Christmas day.

The only one with no budget is my great grandson. I get his mother to shop and I send her a check.

I don't have kids or grandkids but in the last few years my family decided to draw names at Thanksgiving and keep them a secret until Christmas Eve when we would exchange gifts.  There is a price limit.    There is also a white elephant exchange as well as part of the festivities.  

We FedExed our gifts to the family already.  We keep it down to a mild roar.  We want them to understand Christmas is not just about gifts. 

Have a budget of zero, but next year should be good!

Very generous, will be giving them trips, even though I lost big $ in investments this year.

We decided when our first grandchild was born that we would not get into the toy buying frenzy or compete with other grandparents. We set up a college fund and add to that in honor of their birthdays and Christmas. We buy a small gift and one day they will have a nice college fund and hopefully be thankful.
