Since I am an exhibitionist, this door works just fine for me!

I would have preferred a door with a stained glass type insert in the middle.... I have two of them and they're beautiful.... but they allow privacy along with sunlight....

that door has so much glass and so little frame it is amazing they found someplace to put the door handle - But Patricia Kennedy raises a good point - I wonder what kind of glass it is.  With the right glass security might not be an issue although privacy still will be

That they wanted it to match the windows (LOL)!  That's a great fish bowl effect ... not for me.  Not even with a window covering.

Well if you were facing a Lake, ocean or mountain view, it would be fantastic. In the city, not so much.

Pretty hard to hide from solicitors. And for God's sake, put your robe on!

I think it looks good but I'd worry about security so close to the street.  Does the MLS listing read "Exhibitionist special!  Want to be seen?  This home was built for you!"??

Hmmm, guess privacy is not an important thing for them?  Dont drink and design houses folks.

They wanted to be able to see who was approaching.

That sure doesn't look like a door that would provide security, pretty strange!

Well I am thinking it needs a curtain.  I have too many kids for that much glass.  

Well...did they pick any blind or curtains to go with it? hmmm..can't figure that one out..maybe they like lots of natural light. But.. hope they don't have too many awkward moments..as far as privacy is concerned.

Would love the natural light but I need good privacy.

This builder couldn't have been thinking security! It lets more light in but totally takes away your privacy!

Sounds like the builder just installed a storm door and the fron door has not been installed.

Nice for light, not so much for privacy!

 Good Friday morning Ryan. I have seen that in several new construction sites. I too would worry about security however, if a burglar wants in, they will get in.

OK for a door to the backyard, maybe. Certainly not a front door onto a street.

That door on a house with land, but not so close to the street.

I love windows.  Most homeowners will use blinds or cloth covering for privacy.

Ryan - Perhaps that was supposed to be the back door out to their private yard... or they just weren't thinking at all.

Obviously trying to get as much natural light into the house as possible...but it does not do much for privacy!

Good morning Ryan. That is a little crazy, but you can cover it with something beautiful to accomplish privacy.

I don't see an issue with it. You could install cellular blinds, the very thin type for privacy if you need it.

I can see it for a commercial store but not residential.

Maybe the peron who hired the builder ordered the door that way.  I sure wouldn't have!

They were thinking about letting light in and matching the look of the windows. Peopel will probably cover up both.

That they wanted lots of light to shine on that shiny new floor.

Actually its a good door. The problem is with anyone being able to see inside.

I think the owner will eventually put a pull down drape after moved in.

It needs lighting....

After 1st first break in they will make adjustments.

That privacy is not important.

That's a lot of glass. I wouldn't want that much glass for my front door. 

Doors like that are not unusual in Florida...it lets the light in and makes the room look bigger/

I think they wanted more light.  Usually, though, when you have a door like this, you have a 2nd one for safety and privacy and can leave one open during the day when you're come.

It seems very odd and insecure.  Could it be a custom build and a buyer request???  

I don't know but if that is what they call a front door keep them where you are
