I don't allow public comments on my blog posts so I'm not too disappointed if members don't comment as they're not usually my intended target audience. As long as my phone rings or emails sing, I'm happy!

NO ! That's the expression I use for a day without a glass of Wine !!!!!!!

During my early years as a member of ActiveRain, I posted hundreds of blogs that received no comments. Business success is much more important than comments to stroke our egos.

Tony and Suzanne Marriott, Associate Brokers - we should check how many views are there for the post.

Most of my market report blogs do not have any comment - however, about 200 views for each 7 of them every week is more than sufficient for my blogging efforts.

And I have met potential clients who mentioned to me that they have read my reports.

And I disable blog comments.

I don't give it much thought, however it is nice to get comments on your blog.

It's pretty hard to find either these days!

There are many posts without comments but rarely a question without a comment or answer. Even the spammers get comments.

I'm more concerned about how often that post is coming up on google or any other search engine. 

Nope!  I either get good results, good feedback, or learn what I need to do better.  Any of the above is a good thing.

It is hard not to see some comments when you spend a lot of time working with data, but as long as the phone rings, that is what counts.

Not for a blog.  I think it's more important that the blog be read, rather than the number of comments.

There are those blogs where no response is expected.

Then, there is the one, the result of a flare of creativity....revised each of three edit cycles, embellished with images and links...and its a dud.

Yes, the sun does dim, the birds do not sign as cheerful, the oatmeal exceptionally bland. 'What's the point!" I lament.

Then there comes another flare.

No. It might just be a wake up call for the agent to go back and review the blog and see if they can improve on it.

It is a little depressing when a blog doesn't have any comments.

I think everyone wants comments and if they don't, they don't allow comments at all.... it's rare that I receive none....maybe on a listing post....

Although we receive comments on all our activity here, it wouldn't bother me if we didn't...

It is always encouraging to know people are reading.  

No comments is disappointing but the blog is supposed to be more about the big picture of providing valuable content to the public and building Google juice. 

I don't dwell on it.  

I wonder why some people disable comments on their posts.

Comments are not that important

I'm very sad when I have little to no respond to something I've written whether a post or a question.

Tony and Suzanne - I don't mind if my blog receives no comments, but I would like to get answers to questions that I post.

Questions seem to be answered more readily as they are shorter to read and easier. Comments are good if they add value. Most of my blogs are for the public.
