I keep my eye open this time of year for a less than perfect tree that is in the wrong location, such as a future road site, future wildlife food plot, someplace where it will not be allowed to grow for much longer.

Then sometime toward December 24th I give it a new and higher purpose for it's retirement, like decorating my living room.

I live across a Chirstmas tree farm....

We support our local high school in their tree drive each year.  Usually a 10 - 12' balsam.  Fresh is best!

Interesting question because it really is a "Christmas Tree." Other faiths don't celebrate with presents under a tree, so there is no need to be politely correct! But to answer your question, I can't - not my holiday -

This weekend, we're heading for the country to a friend's farm to cut one down! 

A secluded forrest, no one around with a helper to load the truck?

I have my own tree, but we have some great nurseries in the area for live trees.  There is also the option of going into the mountains and cutting your own down, but you need a permit.

I have a silver retro fiber optic rock and roll tree I will replace when it works no more and not before. ;)

If I wanted a tree, I would buy it from the Boy Scouts in town.  We have a cat that would knock that tree down in no time. LOL A

With enough decorations any tree can be a perfect Christmas tree!  As Michael Jacobs already stated...we choose our tree in October from a tree farm and we return in November to cut it down.  I love a real tree!

I'm my attic. Just behind the four storage bins of Christmas ornaments, paper and accessories. 

I found mine this year on a display at Target....yes its official, I have my first artificial! All white, very white and fake as possible but all lighted up it really is beautiful!

Mine is up in my attic area, fully decorated and ready to be brought down, fluffed and put in place for the season.

My upstairs closet. I have two.  They aren't big but they are well decorated and make me happy.  I unwrap them at Thanksgiving time and wrap them back up on New Years day.   

We always go to the Catholic church in our neighborhood. I don't think there is a perfect tree - but every tree is perfect once it is decorated.

There is a permanent tree lot in town where the trees are grown and you cut your own.  That place was PACKED the day after Thanksgiving.  We drove by and there were cars taking up both sides of the street and the neighboring streets.

We have several tree farms around here. Opeca's has good trees at a good price. You can cut your own, or buy one already cut.

I don't have a tree at home but it's nice to see them when I'm out and about. I like that Sharon Tara and her family go out and identify the tree in October or so and then cut it when it's closer to the holiday.  That would be a fun experience.   Once.

We have several tree farms in our area to choose from.  We have one about a mile away.

A lot of local people like to go up on Grand Mesa and cut a tree. There are several places in our area that sell trees, too. Mine comes out of a box and looks great every year.

All I need is my Menorah, so no trees for us.

I don't put up a tree anymore, but I believe for the right "mood" in selecting a tree, I would go to Christmas Tree lane at the waterfront here in Louisville.

When I drive by it looks quite lovely, with large trees, the lights overhead making it festive, and its at the waterfront which makes it quite beautiful as well.

In my garage, in a box with the rest of the Christmas stuff. We went artificial in 2003 when we moved to SD, because we've mostly lived in high floor condos. We buy a real wreath though and that brings the Christmas tree aroma throughout our town home.

In the past we went to Home Depot.  Not sure it was a perfect tree.

I look for a local NH lot for locally grown Christmas trees.  I choose a Fraser Fir which lasts longer, sheds less and makes a great Christmas Tree.

Inna - In storage at my house. Here in Arizona we use a fake tree. When we go to Oregon for the Holidays, we go out to a tree farm and cut our own.

We have a great nursery that suspends the trees, so you can turn them or walk around and see all sides. When the children were younger, we used to go to places that let you cut them yourself. Some were fully set up with ropes,  helpers, etc., hot cider and all, but others were pretty much snowy woods, where you were on your own.
