When I started, I looked daily and probably spent 30-60 minutes looking at every metric.  Now, I look MAYBE once or twice a week to see what countries are sending me referral spam and to update my semi-effective filters and blockers.


The only exception is when I run an advertisement or am heavily promoting a new listing.  Then I'll check to see what source sent the most traffic to my site from that campaign.  So far Facebook is the king of the social networks for me, even far outpacing the combined numbers for Realtor and Zillow!

Usually twice daily and have created a monthly report that I run at the end of the month and share with my realtor agents giving them specific information about views/visits to their properties .. ie. how many visits; how many minutes per page; top 3 rooms of interest in their homes, etc.


I also report "unusual behavior" to them for their properties. Straight views are usual ... several views a day from the same city/network that returns to the same room or repeatedly opens up ALL the photos is "unusual" and I'll dig deeper into it and report it to the listing agent....(ie. "Someone logged on from the Mayo Clinic has returned to your penthouse over the last 3 days and repeatedly opened all 14 photos pages, spending the most time in the master suite - photo 9;  avg 12 mins, and the formal dining room photos 5;  avg 8.5 minutes; it appears they are studying something ... hopefully this is good news for you, fingers are crossed).

I look at it daily, but don't usually spend much time on it.  This helps alert to things that have gone wrong (e.g. if site down, not tracking, glitch) quickly.  I'm most interested in seeing how some of my newer posts are doing.
