If you have been looking for awhile and know what you want, if you find the right house anytime is a good time. 

If the home for the most part is for sale this time of the year; the seller's really want to sell. So yes.

Richard - I think it is a good time to buy a home when the buyer needs a home, or wants a home, and can afford to purchase a home. It doesn't really make a difference what time of year it is.

When the right home is available, it is the right time to buy!  For homeowners, it is a good time to sell because the most serious shoppers are out during the holiday season.

Yes, if there are homes on the market.  If you have an active buyer that is a good match, I would definitely continue working year round.  Schedules vary, home schooling, job transfers.. people don't stop moving.

It depends on different factors -- motivation, need and opportunity are probably the top three.   

I would assume if a particular seller is desperate to sell and/or buyer is in need to purchase before the close of the year, then it could be good.  Otherwise, i would imagine it would be hard to keep people focused on the transaction.

In Tucson, AZ?  Yes, in fact I have purhcased two investment properties during the week of Thanksgiving.  Things tend to slow down here at that time, some sellers want to get the property sold before year end, many opportunties for buyers.  With the rising rates, those are my concerns for the buyers in the very near future.  Happy holidays.
