I would definitely go anywhere anytime.  The US govt. travel advisories are nonsense.  You are 1,904 times more likely to die of a car accident than from terrorism according to the statistics. And I really like the comment by Val Evans

I am in Mexico right now and no one is worried about terrorist attacks.

You stand a better chance of winning a $100M powerball lottery than becoming a victim of a terrorist attack. I'd go in a heartbeat, especially now that everybody is scared and many businesses may be offering hard to pass up incentives.

The opportunity to travel would not be declined HOWEVER, I would want to modify 'WHY' I would be traveling.

Tragedy and calamity has been visited on many USA cites but many, many more remain untouched except through media sensationalism.

Imagine if you would,,,,you were a runner at the Boston Marathon that day. In hindsight, what would you have wanted to do had an opportunity presented itself?

I would travel, but I would be prepared to be of service should such opportunity present.

Or, a traveler from the USA can take the path of tradition and standing on the bridge over the Seine, say, "We have that at Epcot."

To be frank, I am more concerned about being shot dead or imprisoned as a result of my action to excessive TSA groping than I am about terror.

Just before 9/11, we had scheduled a trip to NY with friends and then on to Egypt on the next day, when all air traffic was shut down.  Napa was close enough to the air base, and not a plane was in the air...Yes, we will plan a trip to Europe, unless the State Dept issues a warning.  Belgium is closed until this Wednesday...this craziness has to stop.  A

Yes, I would plan a trip to Europe in a minute if I had the time, and the $$$ to do that right now.

They did issue a travel advisory for the next three (3) months yesterday, for all parts of the world. Just saying to be aware, avoid crowds, and be watchful.

I would not go.  There are several countries I will not travel to, Mexico being #1 on my list.  I actually checked the state deparment's website and had alerts emailed to me while I was in Europe back in 2002/2003.  I also knew where every American embassy was where I traveled.  Of course, I'm of a "security and preparedness mindset."

Yes you have a greater risk of the plane crashing from a lightning or bird strike then being killed by a terrorist, but why take a chance.

Also keep in mind, how long did it take France and Belgium to round up all the members and conspirators to the Paris attack?  The better part of a week.  Motivated killers free to kill for a week.
