This is one I've not heard of... but new ones seem to be springing up all the time... hard to keep up. But I wouldn't pay any money in advance to any such exchange.

I think that was the name of the company that has called in the last few days too. I do not buy leads, told them that, and hung up.

Hi Driscoll -- no experience with them positive or negative.
I'm sensing it's a fee based lead generation system. If so, I'd stay away.

Good morning Driscoll. Never heard of them, my sense a lead company, but since I never buy any, it wouldn't matter, it wouldn't be a long conversation.

Driscoll Bowman if I can relate a recent call from someone with similar name, I think, YES.
They wanted me to pay $595 upfront and I'll still have to pay 25% of referral fees to them if the transaction is closed.
Why should I pay $595 anyways?

They offer referrals to two or three agents in an area and you pay them a 25% referral fee if you close. Better than buying leads, but the leads can be difficult to work with.

No experience for them, but if it cost a dime before you get a lead, and you get to close, then I would steer clear.

Wait a minute.
ActiveRain has SIX reports listed on Ripoff Report the source cited by Sam Shueh
Referral Exchange Network has only two on Ripoff Report.
Exercise great caution before thinking what you found on the Internet is factual.
At this time I have no knowledge of Referral Exchange. By this evening, that will change.

I think our friend Sam Shueh filled you in. Too many scammers even in this business preying on us.

It's $995 one time set up. If it worked, it would be well worth it. I have too many leads (mostly vague ones) coming from my FB ads. If they would scrub them and hand back to me the ones that wanted to buy/sell, I'd pay a 25% fee all day long. I would appreciate ANY feedback from agents who have actually used, still using, or stopped using this services...... and their opinions.
Thanks, Kelly Groth

Before you do anything you should always gain info and ask questions. I do know that they dont sell leads and work agent to agent referrals for a 25% referral fee at the close.

Hi everyone,
Just thought I'd give a bit of expanaction as to how ReferralExchange works since there seems to be some confusion in the responses below.
- The 1x setup fee is for the Submit Feature. You submit any lead or referral you can't work for any reason. ReferralExchange contacts every referral to verify interest and, if there is, matches the referral with the 3 best agents from our nationwide network of 22,000 agents. We also continue to follow-up with the receiving agent and the lead to ensure that the process is going smoothly. When the deal closes, the submitting agent receives up to a 25% referral fee.
This is a great service to use if you have a significant number of out-of-area referrals, referrals that you're not working, or too many leads to follow-up on. You can be as involved or univolved in the process as you choose to be, and we always say that we're calling on behalf of you.
Only members of the network can receive these referrals and we have carefully built the network over the last 12 years. Active CRS designees are eligible to receive referrals from us, as are agents we have personally recruited into the network. Submit-only agents are also eligible to receive referrals once they have closed their first deal. Receiving agents pay up to a 35% referral fee, depending on the referral.
FYI, the "Ripoff Report" complaint mentioned in one of the responses is not "this" ReferralExchange -- it is for a defunct company that offered a completely different service.
Hope that helps!

Isn't it sad that we are such a big target for scams and people to take our money?

Haven't heard of them. There are so many popping up every day that it's hard to keep track of them all.

No. If they have their hand out - run! If they have a genuine referral, with referral fee paid only at closing - perhaps look more closely.

Driscoll, Referral Exchange contacted in few occasions, but did not signed up.

Driscoll - I have heard of them, but I would be very cautious and ask a lot of questions. Make sure you know what you are getting into.
I personally have never paid for leads.

I don't have any experience with any company selling leads. I just don't pay for leads. I hope you find the information you need.

Sounds like the one that called me, said they were out of San Francisco. They called their leads "referrals" and wanted 25% of the commission. I said "no thank you.

I believe they are an advertiser on this site. I checked them out awhile back. You have to cough up $495 or thereabouts upfront before you receive any referrals.
