The liability on both sides of the process would not make it worth it.

Angelia - I am assuming that we don't have any "Let Yourself In" lockboxes in my area because I have never heard of them. We use Supra electronic lockboxes.

What area do you work since no one seems has no idea what ''let yourself in'' means?

Angelia Bynum you mean - open door for listing? If so, there are few auctions I have seen with open instructions!
'No appointment necessary - here's the code' Let yourself in!

Never heard of them. Most properties in my area are still using combo. In the city they are usually supra lockboxes.

Angelia Bynum I am not certain what you mean by "Let Yourself In" lockboxes. Please let us know what they are and I will give my complete opinion.

Yes I do not like the process. I had to text and wait for confirmation and then call in. I will avoid them in the future.

Angelia,
I’ve never encountered those. Sounds dangerous for all concerned.

Hi Angelia --- do you mean allowing potential buyers/tenants to "visit" a property without an agent? I would not use this type of lockbox and feel it's not something our industry should allow.

Never even heard of them Angelia Bynum and I would be scratching my head wondering what they were if it were not for Mike Rock 's answer. They do NOT sound like a good idea to me.

This is the first I've heard of them, but no - I only use the Supra electronic boxes.

There is clarification under Debbie Reynolds post.
I see them for out of area agents and REOs. Sometimes there will be a combo lock on the door handle itself. It's more of a pain than a Supra box.
