I find if you enter on Monday night or Tuesday morning in MLS, the most agent eyes will see the listing as new because a majority of offices hold their sales meetings on Tuesday / Wednesday in our area.

If I have the luxury of selecting the time preferably a Thursday morning (pictures and staging completed the first of the week and marketing materials ready to go, approved and ready for the photographs from the photographer). Agents are scouring for new listings to show over the week-end. I prefer not to enter them in Fridays-Mondays (Don't feel they get the traction). In our low inventory market..just about any time is a good time!

In our market, the best day is the day you get the listing.

I don't like Sundays and Mondays. But that being said, I've had success listing and selling properties quickly that were listed on days/times that you wouldn't expect a big response on quickly.

I do not think Monday is a good day to enter a new listing. Never have!

I discuss it with my clients, but given the choice, I like to post Thursdays ahead of the weekend, since that's when most buyers will be out with their agents Fri-Sun. I don't think theirs a bad day to post a listing, any day you have a new listing is a great day! 

Does anyone know if their are actual stats on this? I wonder if it's all in our heads or it really matters?

I just try to get it out there as fast as possible. Put one up a couple of days ago, and got a strong lead through Zillow within hours. My feeling is that I market to the world not just my local agents.

Any day but Friday because it seems the majority of agents don't work Fridays!

Before the tours or before unveilling to the public. Monday is not the appropriate date.

I believe it is Friday as Saturday is when most are online looking for listings.

We like to add our listings on Thursdays so that it is fresh for the weekend.

Sunday is the worst. Thursday is good so is Monday Tuesday Wednesday Friday and Saturday 

I find that Fridays are the best ...people are off on the weekends and seem to search more.

Tuesday is the best day to list - no showing till open house on Sunday.

And Sunday - the least desirable day.

If there is then I certainly do not know what it is, but I suspect that you may.

I have always felt the best day is the day the property is listed. I have never seen a compelling argument to delay in marketing a property.

The best day to start a listing is ASAP, no matter what day.

I think Wednesday is a great day to upload a new listing, just in time for agents to find it and schedule it for the weekend.

Typically like to start on Wednesday so consumers and agents have a couple of days before the weekend. I don’t like to start Sat – Tues.

In the spring and summer around Denver, most listings came out on Thursday, with showings starting on Friday or Saturday morning, which response times on Sunday or Monday morning.  Now that it has slowed, doesn't really matter what day.

Monday thru Wednesday so that agents have time to be see the listing going live and set up appts., or since I always reverse prospect that gives me time to get that done.

my favorite is wed eve or thur first thing. that way , every john q public looking, will get an alert on their phone by thursday lunch and then bug their agent or me !

The best day of the week to start a listing is the date that is mutually agreed between the seller and the brokerage. 

every day is a good day to start a listing....especially in a seller's market....

The best day is the soonest you can get it on the market. Buyers are searching and looking everyday and I would hate for them to miss out on a new great listing by trying to time it just right.  They might be ready to put an offer in on another home 

Early in the week is best.  It takes an average of 72 hours for listings to syndicate across the web out here, so by Wednesday to get the most "bang for your buck" on the first weekend.

I like to put them on Wedsnesdays, people start getting ready for the weekend about then. 

Not really a best or worst, but maybe "better" or "worse" days, Better late Monday through Thursday, worse late Friday through early Monday.

I use to be a proponent of Monday but I have seen them succeed everyday now...

I don't pay attention to the day.  Feel if I post a listing to the MLS agents will be searching criteria close to their clients needs.  Not so much seeing my listing and making a point to sell it.  Interesting answers.  I will need think this through.  mark

With internet searches hot daily and 24 hours a day every day is a good day to have a listing online.

I do not look for the best day. I list the property in mls as soon as possible.

The day you are fully ready to post completely. I don't understand agents that post a new listing and then take 2 or 3 or more days to up load photos. Talk about loosing all your new listing eyeball juice. By the time they get the photos up loaded it's not on the hot sheet any more and everyone set up for auto email updates got the email the day it was listed without any pics.

Worst - Saturday

Friday seems to be the day that gets the most eyeballs.
