Sometimes we send out a Christmas postcard with an attractive photo and our logo in a lower corner.
And a personal note on the other side.

I send personal Christmas cards to my "A+ 7 A" list only; it's what I celebrate. Others can send what they choose to celebrate to me, I think that's great. They are afterall-greeting cards, not religious-conversion cards; take it for what it is; "I'm thinking of you this Christams / Holiday Season and sending you my best wishes".
I say Aloha when in Hawai'i , to all, whether you are Hawai'ian or not.

I stopped sending Christmas cards about 5 years ago. I've found the majority of my "people" appreciate an email instead and I hate them feeling obligated to reciprocate!
People are very savvy today and they fully understand the why behind the card unless you have a personal relationship with them. I hear that it is felt to be as bad as used car dealers promoting their Veteran's Day Sales!
I hate that it is now seen as one more TOUCH and that the true meaning has been lost.

Good Saturday morning Richard. No, I do not send out Christmas cards. They get lost in the shuffle with 10,480 other cards. I send out Thanksgiving cards.

I send out generic Christmas cards, rather than ones with my family. I put my business card inside and write a personal note.

yes I send them, they are very secular in nature (unless I know the person is Christian) and no mention of business except the return address.

No. Instead I do Happy New year's cards. They are more memorable...and avoid all the religious stuff/conflicts.

I never send holiday cards; recipients are getting far too many for mine to stand out.
Before I opened my own brokerage, however, I brought holiday gifts to each client every year. The gifts were "patterned" and each year, I added to the set.

I send out holiday cards just before Thanksgiving to my clients and prospects. Other business associates get a Christmas card.

I used to send customized Christmas CDs but now so many computers lack a CD slot. I do send Christmas cards but only to friends now. No face or family for me.

Looking at it from the recipients side: If it doesn't have a personal message, I know I was just part of the assembly line and it is totally meaningless. I have NEVER (even as a child) sent a card of any kind without a personal message. From a business point of view, I never included anything with my picture or a business card for seasonal messages. I want to connect on a more personal level.

I send out a personal card, expressing how this season influences my life and how THEY, the reader, has been an important part of that meaning.
Richard, everyone LOVES reading about themselves.
Most are not enthused with a "Happy Holidays' message.
Yes, I DO recognize this season is established in recognition of the birth of Jesus Christ. They can choose to embrace the same meaning or substitute Santa Clause and candy canes. Either way, it does not change the meaning the reader has brought to my life which they are eager to read.
Seriously, what would happen if the only message, the only voice, the only values offered were confined, as is the case, to increasingly limited ever smaller, more volatile segmentation of the society of ideas and thought.

no, I never do anymore.... I send Edible Arrangements to special builder clients and other business people I want to remember....

For these types of cards it is generic and for the most part they already know what I do so just sign and send.
