Here in Sonoma County, according to our MLS, the number is miniscule. I track all loans made per month through the MLS and owner financing MAY get 1 loan per month. Conventional is the biggie followed by FHA and then VA.

I've seen it starting to trickle in. I've seen one maybe two listings where the agent remarks say "seller will consider financing." They are usually out of state sellers that are eager to sell.

Yes, it crops up and I have seen it done. Both sides need to be careful to get good legal advice. In CT, both buyer and seller are generally represented by attorneys, who draft contracts and conduct closings.
