I hate people coming to my door unannounced and I never did it. I preferred farming a neighborhood through direct mail.

Blanca Barajas the only time I went, I was scared as the home owner almost came over me and started abusing me.
Never dared to do so since then!

No never... I don't door knock and I don't cold call. Gives me the creeps to just think about it. (And I don't open my own door to strangers either.)

Not for me. I can't see myself doing something that I hate when others do it to me.

No. I suscribe to the golden rule. I would not welcome someone at my door so I don't do it to others.

Blanca Barajas Although door knocking was a key method for prospecting when I first got into the business, I have never done it.

Yes. I went with a team. Two on each side of the street. We finished 500 houses in under 1 hours. Got 1 listing out of that afternoon.

Door Knocking is not my bag, neither is Open House. Warm Calling is my thing. Calling people that there is some kind of previous relationship.

Yes, but I haven't had any success. That doesn't mean I'm giving up though!

Went once with a trained agent. Would like to go by myself or take my husband.. for support. For now I'm leaving flyer/info at door and if they open I'm up for a conversation.

I tried before, but found that it is not a good ROI of the time it takes. Plus I don't like people knocking on my door so I prefer not to knock on others.

I think that is old school, but it still works. I Haven't done that since I became a RE in 2009. It's all internet and direct mailing for me.

Yes! One thing is for certain; You never know what or who is going to answer the door from the other side... I've been invited in for tea, had the door slammed in my face, invited back, asked to never come back... etc. Overall, It was a great experience. I enjoyed every second of it. I would suggest that you hand them something of value! Anything... that you think somone would appreciate. It goes a long way. I received one listing out of 25 houses. Try it. Keep an open mind. There are some pretty awesome people out there. I'd bring a parnter with you, and I would never go alone. Happy knocking
