Probably ''old school'' agents. They used to get a lot of perks for sending business. Now, it is officially illegal in CA.

Sadly there are people who are quite sparing with the truth on both sides.  There is zero room for either and threatening behaviour has no place in a professional relationship.   Personally, I wouldn't want to have further contact with someone who behaves in such a manner.

That is never a good practice, I would give them a gentle yet firm and professional response.

I don't seal well with threats and that is business I would not pursue in the future.

As long as they don't ask me to do something unethical or dishonest, I try to comply with the client's request.  If they do ask me to compromise those, I send them off to someone else.

If what they want you to do is not consistent with your values and work ethic, fire that agent.  

I feel my recommended inspectors and I have a common goal.  Take care of our mutual client. 

You will have to look the other way and compromise your ethics...eh...not soooo much !

Threats are never warranted. Sorry you had to have that happen to you.

OK, I've had this conversation with inspectors.  And it involved putting out an inspection report that was legible and that I could understand and explain to the agent on the other end of the transaction - who might not be that bright.

Sounds like they have bad business practices and need some ethic's training!
