John Jones if you want to 'work' on your website, WebsiteBox is the perfect solution - pay once and that's all - keep the site running for lifetime (as per what I have. Not sure if they have changed any terms now.)
They are good overall - can't get better deal than that from anyone else!

John Jones,
After reading the comments below, I will keep an eye on mine. I signed up about two months ago, it took me about a month to complete. https://www.stakeyourland.com/ I do go back and forth seeing what I can add or modify.

I got a free website early on and never got it up and running. I think it has worked out for many.

It's not great. It's slow when compared to my wordpress site. It's barely adequate.

No! It worked fine for a short amount of time, but then when I started having problems, they were unable to diagnose them. It's also really just a place holder and won't give you actual Google Juice.

I believe that I researched them some months ago, seemed like a stable platform. I moved my sites to Placester though, and have been very happy with it. Also, they are endorsed by NAR, and they have a discount for NAR members too.

I haven't heard about these folks in a long time I'd be curious to find out what kind of answer you get to this inquiry
I have one of my websites with them I launched on October 1, 2015. For a template website it is very easy to set up and it doesnt look too terrible. I bought the basic site for $99 which i which I think was on sale for $79 with a coupon. Then I added on the blog option, which was on black friday sale for $74 or something like that. All total i am into the site for about $150 or so, and so my expectations are reasonable and not too high.
The SEO of the site is not perfect, you can buy an SEO add-on which I am uncertain what exactly it allows you to do. It does come with a fair amount of stock content so it, so there are many pages prebuilt for you. The blog itself is okay but not ideal, but it is sure better than not having one.
I am hitting the site with my standard SEO process which I use for my SEO clients ( I own a marketing biz) and we will see how it ranks after that. It debut in Google index at about 60th for the most popular real estate search term in my area, which is "mycityname real estate". If I cant put it in the top 20 before the end of January then I will give it a failing grade. If I can put it on the front page I might buy 2 more.
I havent tried the CRM or IDX on it and do not plan to at this time.
The site is at http://robertmay.ca if anyone wants to look at it, its not pretty but google doesnt care and right now thats my focus.
