I do both, and I am not influenced by others. A

I read everything first ... question+comments and even blog+comments before I respond.  Doing so rarely changes my answer/opinion .. but if my answer/opinion has already been expressed, I'd rather say.. "I agree with (name of person) and give them a LIKE instead of spending time retyping and reiterating what they already said. 

if there are already 721 responses and I simply want to throw another log on the fire, I do not read the other response.

If the question presented has PREDICTABLE responses such as "Should I go door knocking" I simply write my encouragement and prepare them for reality and do not read the repsonses of others.

I good question of fabric and thought. will compel me to read many if not all responses before adding my two cents.

Sometimes I just type 'Great question." and disappear. (no, I don't do that)

I've done it both ways. If I have a strong feeling about how to answer, I write my answer first.

I write my answer first and then check out other responses.

I do both, just depends on the question.  On this one I just answered right away.  On other questions about procedures, advice, etc. I'll look to see what's been posted.  Sometimes it spurs a thought process.

Blanca,  this is an excellent question.  I do not read answers until I have posted mine.  I do not want my answer to be influenced by the answers of others.  Not thinking anyone is right or wrong, I just want my opinion to be unbiased.  Mark

I usually answer first, then check to see if others agreed with me.

Blanca, generally I write my opinion.

I just answer the question, then I look to see the other answers.  It just seems more fun that way.

Mostly I answer right away, though I do occasionally read other answers.

I try not to let any of the other answers influence me so I just answer before looking.

I enjoy reading the answers as much as I do answering with my own opinions. I am here to contribute but also to learn.
