Maybe you should get the flyers printed at a print shop.

The brand does not matter as much as the cost of supplies. Then check out the quality of the final printed product and the speed of printing. We use Oki Color Lasers

For less than $200 the HP Laserjet Pro m252dw Wireless Color Printer does a great job!

It might depend on if you also print photos, and how much you want to spend, but I would look at some of the higher end Epson ink jet printers. If mainly just for black and white and color fliers, look at the HP's. You can go to Office Depot and test them out before you buy. You can research and read reviews here http://dpreview.com/

Good Thursday morning John. I purchased a couple Brother laser printers I do not recall the model number. They use the generic cartridges extremely well. I've had no problems with the printers and I've run over 25,000 sheets through them using generic cartridges.

Epson color printer cost an arm and leg to run but is a work horse. 

John Mosier I have a Brother MFC-9840CDW color laser printer. I had some problems with the software when I first got it. Once that was ironed out, I haven had any problems. The cartridges are pretty expensive though.

Most have very good quality for a very low price, get whatever is cheap and then buy good quality paper to make you images shine.

If you're most concerned about image quality, inkjets are the way to go. I use an HP Officejet Pro 8620 and it's great. It can scan and print double sided, has a legal size scanning bed, can send and receive faxes, has a usb port for directly loading files onto it, has NFC capability, can print over a wireless network, and probably has several other features I don't use. Its main selling point for me was the low cost per page: about 3.7 cents (if I remember correctly) per page black and white and about 5 cents per page color. That's better than any print shop I've ever seen.

If speed and volume are your goal, a laser printer would be better. The cost is prohibitively high for me, but if you don't have any problem paying for toner and a more expensive printer, you can get a printer that prints faster and prints colors that don't run if your flyers get wet.

Well I have used HP, Canon, Dell, Epson, and Brother.  I have to say for the best document, ADF printing I would go with Brother.  Maybe I've been lucky, they never jam or misfeed.  The Brothers were all laser printers.  For nice photo quality printing though, my Epson was awesome and the Canon was pretty good.  I think HP's are absolutely terrible.  However I have yet to find a really good photo quality laser printer.  If your business can support it, I would always use an outside print shop for flyers unless you are working for a brokerage that has a really good high production photo quality printer.  When I was at Coldwell Banker I think the printer there was about $130,000 so it printed great!

I use Brother MFC-J4710DW for ONLY 11x17 color two-sided printing. If this one is almost gone, new ones are not so expensive - you might get a good deal.

For all other purpose - laser printers are best, HP-3390 for duplex black and white and OKI-700 series for duplex color (I got an excellent deal on this one from Staples.)

I have all my marketing printed at IMPACT or my local printer I network with, pending the job. I use an HP 8600 series color inkjet for all my non-glossy printing; cover letters and occasional flyers on the fly. I've moved away from owning the expensive laser printers and do it yourself marketing pieces like post cards, most flyers, items of value, etc.
