I try to mainly avoid this as I don't think it's effective marketing nor efficient. But, I do some tie-ins with "off beat" holidays as you get more exposure and differentiation. For example, I send a card to realtors for arbor day and tie it in to ways to prolong your hardwood floors (to save more trees). Or, National Dog day has tips on hardwoods, colors and finishes that are best if you have dogs.

I prefer to avoid mixing the two, and find much of the Holiday marketing offensive.

I mail cards and postcards. And at Halloween I have an open trick or treat for kids in my community.

I use a webpage on major holidays to promote my website. Here's an example and the latest one for this Halloween:

just looking back through some of the old Q & A from almost a year ago, not sure why this question didnt seem to get many replies. I post a few trying to get others to view lethbridge real estate blog that I write on, but it seems many just slip through the cracks here.

I have in the past and still do like to send out Thanksgiving cards specifically thanking my vendors and past clients for their support.
