I don't have a software program for floorplans -- I hire someone to create them and they are included with the marketing material and as an attachment in the mls.

I have Home Depot real estate Measurement Services measure and create floor plans for my high end listings. No one else in my market does floor plans other than some new construction. Because my market is small and relatively remote, the services that are available to do floor plans and virtual tours in many markets aren't available here. It never occurred tome that this might be a security issue. I will have to give that some thought, but it seems a little far fetched to me. Buyers and sellers LOVE the floor plans and measurements. 75% or our sales are from out of state.

I don't like to use simplistic software as it often doesn't have the features I need.

I don't provide floor plans in the MLS ever. Providing a floor plan that is available online can be the quickest way to give someone the layout of a home and might lead to a safety and security issue. Criminals troll these online sites looking for this type of information.

Sally K. & David L. Hanson stopped by here to see other responses. Will check again to see the responses. I do not use any software, though I have Floor Plan Maker and Ashampoo Designer Pro.
Good question.

If it goes to the MLS and will eventually end up in Zillow.
Do you want the buyer/seller to be exposed to this hazard FOREVER?
