I don't think people do as much as they did in the 80's.  I've had the luxury vehicles and I now go for quirky cars.  I've found I'm not thought to make TOO much money and neither do people presume I don't make ENOUGH.

My vehicles are talking points now and I find people will often wave to me almost like I'm leading a parade!

Hope not - I am going to resist the temptation to fall prey to this --- my success has surpassed the look of my wheels at this point -- I am now rather proud of that.

I do not care what they think about my car( prius, btw) or my watch( I never had one), my presentation~ is the key what makes them decide if they want to work with me or with someone else who drives a better car.

I wouldnt say all but there are some for sure that judge by what others drive, where they live, what they wear etc.

Michael - I am sure there are those that do judge a book by it's cover, and an agent by the car they drive. However, I know a lot of very rich people who drive average cars (no BMW's or Mercedes). Not all rich people like to spend their money on cars, jewelry, clothing, etc. I would never judge.

I think they do to some extent.  I used to drive a eleven year old Ford Explorer and it was fine with me, but it became clear it was hurting me.

I went out and bought a two year old Lexus sedan and people seem to be happy with that.  I'll drive it as long as I can get away with it.

Some people do this. I don't. I actually had a new buyer that questioned why I wasn't driving a Lexus SUV with all leather interior. I told him I liked my Subaru just fine.

I think that is more in the eyes of the driver unless you are dealing with luxury properties.  Then I think a clean car matters more than the make or model.

To some extent they do. People always seem to be judging others instead of looking in the mirror.

Working real estate and a ranch gives me little option on having a nice car. I have two trucks and if one is in the shop the other is the vehicle I use, both have a few dings and I know people do judge but I don't think that is what makes an agent being good at your job matters more.
