In business that involves me, of course I step in.

In another agents business, without invitation...absolutely not.

In their personal life....are you kidding, that can get you shot.

It is a lonely business. The isolation and loneliness is palpable. Those who have a significant other to work closely are so much better able to adapt the what is required of an agent in this business, to assuage the emotion and contradiction.

A support group for REALTORs? No. Realtors would not come. What's her name from the real estate school likely would to help with curriculum development.

"Dear Abby, the tolerance wheel just flew off my wagon. Should I quit, marry someone or seek professional help?"  Of course Abby always directs folks to consult with 'professionals'  who can not keep their own lives together.

If invited, I would help. But even then, I must assess if they are collecting opinions to enbale them to continue as they are or if they are truly ready to make a change.

I would offer some gentle advice and maybe if I was really close to the agent I would give some stronger advice to see if I could help.

We try to treat others as we would want them to treat us, so, yes, we'd step in but not in an intrusive way.

Kind words of encouragement are always welcomed.

Hmmm... maybe a "Realtors Anonymous"?  I think it would be hard for many to discuss real problems with anyone in their area, other than trusted coworkers or their broker.

I would for those that will accept my help.  Though, there are a few that I wouldn't offer any assistance to because of their past deeds.

I prefer to stay out of peoples business and life, if they are having a hard deal or day I'll give some kind words but nothing more and never anything related to business.

If during  a transaction, an agent needs an assist, I'll help.  They may be inexperienced, out of town or have a personal situation that's affecting their performance.

If the agent is a lazy, stupid jerk, I'll to facilitate the transaction but I may be cursing under my breath (or not) all the way.

In general, I'll assist nice agents when there's something I know and they're hoping to learn.

In real estate transactions, you are compelled to step in as needed to make the transaction successful.

Stepping in on personal issues is reserved for close friends and family and may not be appropriate even in those situations unless the person is asking for advice.

If it involves a deal we are participting with or if they ask my opinion.

Faltering...hmm -- that is a subjective word.  I'll listen and/or give an opinion if asked.
