Labor day is a good day for work.

In Maryland, I think that Sunday is your best time for an open house. 

Since I live in a beach community, I know that afternoon,  Mom and Dad are thinking..."Do you think we can LIVE here?"

Then Dad says, 'Look, there's a sign!"

And Mom repiles, "It must be A SIGN!"

I will not be hosting one this weekend - I need a break and with likely low turnout, going to spend the time with family who has been neglected due to weekend work on my part.

I learned a long time ago that Holiday weekends are awful for open houses, yes the schools are all back in session

I learned a long time ago not to do open houses on holiday weekends. The traffic just wasn't there.

No I will not have an open house this weekend. Kids are back in school but families are still going away for the long weekend to the shore.

The kids are back in school in my area. Open houses don't work in my market. I won't be doing one for that reason. 

Open houses on a Holiday weekend are pretty slow, and won't be having one.

Lise Howe most of the schools are open by now - if not, it's next week on Wednesday, to best of my knowledge.

Open Houses - buyers are still out there, so why not? Better day could be Saturday - just in case.
